Renee don’t careDo betterThis show advertises that it is focused on science and that the hosts are well trained. And yet they spend a large amount of time talking about their own stories, talking negatively about others, and passing judgement. I suffered through almost one episode because I was seeking information, but wading through the junk was not worth it.

Talk’n TNDon’t stop sharingPeople go through very similar experiences in life. Please don’t stop sharing bc of something someone said. WAY More good comes out of it than u just talking about your own trauma.

CaitShort3Thank youThis podcast is probably saving my relationship one episode at a time. I’ve had so many moments where I’ve realized that I’m not showing up as my best self (FA leaning anxious) with critical communication, not processing my own emotions, looking for the negatives, not showing up secure in my relationship regardless of my partners attachment issues etc… and eventually when my partner is ready I can’t wait for us to join your group. The religious talk is a bit triggering for me because of my past trauma but the information you provide is so valuable that I know it’s important I continue on this journey. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Edit: this podcast has literally changed my life. I am so much better at regulating my emotions and handling really hard situations. So many of the stories you both share just hit home and have helped me really go in and do some dirty work to process past trauma. I really cannot thank you both enough for doing this.

matt winderBest Relationship PodcastThis is probably the best relationship podcast that I’ve ever listened to. Dr Hensley is extremely well-versed in attachment theory and her cohost has great examples that are easily relatable. The duo together create a far-above spectacular team! I’m a guy listening to a relationship podcast - that I can’t get enough of. Thank you both for the excellent work that you give us all.

TwosdaysGirlDon’t hate me…I write this to help.I have enjoyed this podcast and I find the information insightful; however, there is one red flag that made me stop listening. I’ve noticed that Dr. Hensley gets a little too preachy at times. And I’m not talking about her faith. That’s a-ok with me. There have been times where a topic will come up and she’ll draw a very firm line and conclusion, for example run from certain attachment styles. I find that to be a big turn off. There are so many people who are in situations where they can’t run. I’d love to see a touch more humility and grace in her overall tone. I hope this helps!

Janessa ReviewsMind AwakeningThis podcast really helped me understand not only myself but my recent ex and our relationship dynamic and why it wasn’t working. I think if I discovered this a decade ago and could’ve started working on securing my attachment, I’d be happily married by now. I’m hopeful for healthier relationships after diving more into this.

CrownedthroughfireWhy They CheatListening to this episode while in the midst of navigating through divorce after husband cheated on me and six months into our “rebuilding period” said he’s done everything he can and asked for a divorce, gosh it’s like God is letting you both to minister directly to me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with compassion and assertiveness. You’re right; I do know I wasn’t be able to trust my husband anymore, I just don’t have the ability to walk away for the fear of the unknown and fear of detach. But I am walking in it right now to the other side, bleeding and in pain emotionally, I can’t wait to get to the other side.

Garrett from SLCThis podcast WILL improve your relationship!!!I have followed Sarah on Instagram for a long time, and her podcast is AMAZING!!! I divorced a cheating ex a few years back, but Sarah has helped me recognize all of my faults, and now I’m showing up in healthier ways for my current partner. In a word, I understand myself and my partner better. Sarah and Raina are hilarious and have great chemistry together. They choose interesting topics, and they will help you for sure!!! I imagine their target audience is women, but I’m a man, and I recommend this podcast to any man who wants to fix or improve his relationship. Men, we have a lot of work to do — let Sarah and Raina help you!!!

MOLeezWordzLeave your religion outReally liked a lot of your stuff until you started talking about God, Satan, and Jesus. I had to stop listening. Yes we are freedom of speech, but I also have the right to go somewhere else. It’s a shame, because a lot of your scientific based research and insights that leave religion out of it can help people but you’re going to turn many people off with this. I will try another episode, but if the Christian fiction comes back, you’ve lost another listener. Also going to leave the Facebook community. If you’re truly about education, keep religion out of it.

ShayaJayWallLove!!!!I LOVE LOVEE LOVEEE this podcast! I am so happy Dr Sarah Hensley provides the in depth information that she does while not taking away too much from her practice. You can tell that she is actually passionate & wants everyone to heal! I will say that Rainas input is sometimes long winded taking away time & information that us listeners are very eager to hear.

Katie90192Great podcastLove this podcast! Please no more TikTok focused podcasts. Some of us never had TikTok to begin with and found you seeking attachment and love doc content :)
-
Lring219InformativeThis is so informative, and in a real manner. It’s an easy listening podcast too!
-
B Jo REnlighteningThe information on attachment styles with the additional personal details from the cost and cohost has helped me understand so much about myself and my previous relationships. I have no doubt I will forward with much greater understanding and relationship success! Thank you both!!

_annaleighdownsI love Dr. Sarah and this podcast, but . . .I’ve found myself listening less and less because of her co-host. I feel like Dr. Sarah does a good job of incorporating her personal life and experiences without it taking away from the topic at hand. However, I find her co-host’s additions to the conversations a little distracting and am often times not sure what I, the listener, should “do” with that info. (I know I don’t need to “do” anything with the info…I just mean her mid-podcast revelations about her son, marriage, ex, etc. can feel really heavy and distracting in the moment.) Also, I recognize that others may enjoy this style of podcast where they both share and go back and forth, and that’s totally fine! In case I’m not the only one feeling like this, though, I wanted to write a review. Overall, this is a helpful podcast and I do recommend it to people.

untprinsesLike with a….BUTI enjoy this podcast when the Dr. Hensley is informing and teaching. I don’t mind a touch on personal experiences and for some reason the personal experiences of Dr. Hensley don’t seem to bother me too much BUT I am hearing WAY too much of the co-host interjecting her personal life and issues into this podcast. I feel Dr. Hensley has better grasp on the appropriate amount of sharing but the cohost is overboard and constantly interjecting. Almost talking over her at some points. This is coming from a good place as I really do enjoy learning and Love this content minus the overly personal information. It’s hard to share this with my husband as I think he can learn from this podcast but I know he doesn’t care to hear about personal issues. Please see if y’all can tailor that back. Thanks!

SarahandDenaliAmazing! This show and Dr Hensley’s other resources have helped me SO much! As an FA currently healing from an FA/DA relationship it really helps to understand what happened and how not to do it again. I would love an episode on what a healthy grieving process looks like 🙏

ForeverLearning05Ads are killing the showI LOVE the podcast but the ads are killing it. They are not relevant to the content and are popping up randomly in the middle of the conversation. I’d love to continue listening but will not listen again unless the ads are more thoughtfully integrated.
-
NikafrikPrefer her Reels, podcast gives far less infoPrefacing this by saying I LOVE her content and expertise, but feel like the podcast isn’t the best place to learn from her. Great of you like to hear conversations between friends. The first handful of episodes were amazing, but as I progress further into each episode I’m finding that the podcast is feeling more dominated by personal stories of the co-host and gets pretty far off the description and title topics.

jurgicikeClarity is amazingI first learn about attachment theory on your tik tok and I was shocked. I was like how does this woman explained my relationship to exact T and never met me? It was so eye opening and validating and gave me so much clarity that I felt at ease. I am FA and my husband is DA. Dynamic is so toxic for 13 years and I have 3 year old now. I brought your tik tok videos about FA and DA dynamic to our couples therapist and he found it interesting. But I was questioning him why he hasn’t brought up yet about attachment theory for 11 months beeing in couples counceling. I felt robed of time. I don’t understand why couples therapist don’t bring that up at all ? You are amazing and I will be joining your group in the future! I love every single episode! It’s part of my self care routine.

AmezB77Truth!I’m loving your podcast, ladies! Good info on stuff I’ve never even thought about. And if Almighty God is the reason for your health and your happiness, thank you for sharing and telling the Truth!

brittneydmitchellWanted to love it…I wanted to love this podcast because I’ve engaged with content on TikTok that I found interesting. However, as someone who identifies as dismissive avoidant I’m working to improve myself, I find this podcast, insulting and hurtful. Some people are working on themselves, but it takes time and a lot of effort. Hearing y’all talk poorly about people who struggle due to trauma they’ve experienced is disheartening.. I also am a graduate student going to school for social work and many things said are not ethical if you claim to work in that field. Please consider those who came to follow this podcast to get help improving themselves instead of them, listening and feeling worse about things they’re trying to change.

Taylor-LATrying everyday to be better than yesterdayI am not a podcast girly. I never enjoyed listening to a podcast because I like watching content. However, this podcast has changed my life. Understanding the attachment styles has given me so much hope and helped facilitate so much change in me. I appreciate all of the content. From hearing about your pasts, rumination, past abusive partners, and honesty about regression makes me feel so seen, heard and understood. I can’t even express how excited and happy it makes me to see an episode drop. I’ve recommended this podcast to everyone near and dear to me and it’s changed so many relationships and lives. On this last episode about dealing with haters I had to take a moment to write something positive because I feel so grateful and blessed to have access to educated and impactful content at my finger tips. I’m 25 and working through so many layers of trauma, resentment, frustration and forgiveness. This has been one of my tools. I truly can’t say enough about how much I love this podcast! Please do an episode on Anxious/preoccupied!

Darkgoddess7635Very surprisedI am a bisexual woman with agnostic views. Let me tell you that I don’t have any issue one bit with the religious side that is shared in the podcast. I can tell that they are genuine people that don’t have an agenda to push you into their beliefs. I grew up with the fear side of religion and was taught to be hateful, I do not feel this with these women. They are there for their children emotionally & are supportive which is something completely different from the way as I was raised in religion. I enjoy the science aspect more than the religion side but I do like a challenge/keeping my mind open to other beliefs and taking any opportunity to learn. Thank you for sharing your stories & sharing the information you have studied for so long. I have learned so much & am almost in a complete secure attachment now. Thank you for all you do & please keep the episodes coming. Highly recommend 😊

cajunsunNot What I ExpectedNone of Dr. Hensley's videos that I have seen mention god or religion. They contain relationship advice from a psychological, attachment-based perspective. However, the podcast is not like Dr. Hensley's videos. The episode I was just listening to was about god and "the enemy" and really religiously paranoid nonsense. If I wanted religion lessons and quoted scripture, I would have selected a religious podcast. I'll just have to keep watching the videos instead. This was disappointing because I really like her.

koko421FA and the DARecently came across your Instagram and had to listen in on this episode and all the others. The way you guys speak so clearly and describe things is amazing to hear! You also speak with each other with such ease. I’m so happy I came across your pod and I know it will be helping many people.

SabbysassVery Christian-Gender-Roles centricSo disappointed. The first episode I listened to was great, full of really valuable and interesting information. I’m very interested in learning about the attachment styles and how they work together (or don’t!) There was some brief mention of their (the two women hosts’) personal faith in the first couple episodes, but I could get past that. But the comments about their Christian beliefs increased and by the sex episode it was ridiculous. She certainly only frames things in a hetero-normative way, and again, I’m willing to overlook that to a degree if the information is valuable (but would always rather things be more inclusive… given that she’s a professional with a PhD, who is giving relationship counseling and advice, I totally feel that she should be bound by her professional ethics to be inclusive and secular with her actual advice.) But wow, she absolutely lost me when she said that happiest marriages happen when the husband is the true leader and the wife picks a man who knows how to lead her and knows what’s best for her and the family and barf barf barf. And she does that “oh the feminists are going to hate me for this but it’s TRUE…” thing. Add to it a lot of red-flaggy anecdotes from the friend about her jealous husband and how he gets to decide whether or not she has a baby… just. Nope. So unfortunate. There REALLY should be a disclaimer in the description that this is a podcast for straight Christian married people.

KSZ2021Achieving secure attachmentI came across Dr. Hensley a couple months ago. Started listening to her on social media and then bought her online program. It really helped me understand my behaviors and my attachment style. I have begun the work of healing myself all because of encouragement and understanding she has given me. Thank you Dr. Hensley and Raina for this podcast!

bluecrane1981Too much religion.Great for straight and religious folks. Not for me.

DoubleAMommaAttachment Style GURUI started watching Dr. Sarah about 2 months ago when my life flipped upside down. Understanding attachment styles, how to love, how to deal, how to handle, and how to heal has been life changing. Thank you, Dr. Sarah!
-
Anxious Mom TooGreat PodcastBecause of her podcast I understand now the dynamics between my husband and I. Especially myself. Thank you Sarah I have some work to do on myself and how I interact with my husband.

Maverick1416Good info but Hetero focusedI do enjoy this podcast. I enjoy hearing about the attachment styles. I just found it a few days ago. However, the focus only on Male/Female relationships is a little annoying. It’s 2024 whether people want to see it or not there are other relationship dynamics.
