Debate is fun.Christian Apologetics’ NightmareJews need to know more about Judaism and the falsehoods of “Messianic” Judaism. This is Mr Singer’s reason for his work. He obviously knows Judaism but also Christianity. His work is needed and necessary in a world of Christian proselytization aimed a Jews. Christianity has the right to proselytize to anyone and Tovia is the response you need to hear to understand Christian tactics and adulterated scripture.

HorselongWowVery intelligent and much to offer to many. I've been enlightened!! YET some things are racist and harsh. Like in his message on Who is the Messiah, Tovia refers to the Baptist and says eating Watermelon and fried chicken.... THIS STATEMENT is clearly a racial stereotype to Black Baptist. For years Blacks have been referred to eating Watermelon and fried chicken. THIS is not OKAY!!! So Tovia, please check your heart and view of southern baptist Blacks.

Apps-junkieGreat podcasts! There is no one who both knows Tanach and can explain it so well verbally. Having been raised Christian, I have come to see how Christians have so misunderstood the Hebrew Bible and how they have so distorted it's teachings and allegorized it's meanings so much, that God's Word and Truth is rarely taught in churches today. By Christianity, I include the new age "messianic" movement or those followers of Jesus who they prefer to call "Yeshua" so that they can claim him as "Jewish" and thereby, somehow make him into a historical rather than a fictional character created by Rome. The Israel that made a golden calf, the Israel that worshipped ba'als, the Israel that the prophets so often complained about, is alive and well today in the churches & "messianic" congregations. There are many rabbis who have written great refutations of the beliefs of "missionaries" (like Rabbi Yisroel Blumenthal so well counters the arguments against Judaism by Michael Brown), but none do so great orally as Rabbi Singer. This series is a must for all who love the one God, the real God, of Israel. The one big problem is that there are no new or more recent podcasts.

True 2 the True GodOpen your heart and eyesI was a Christian until I read the bible. After listening to the Rabbi, he just confirmed all that I had discovered on my own. If someone teaches you the bible and you don't read it yourself, you'll only be mislead and never know the truth. I'm not Jewish but I think they're the closest thing to the TRUE religion. It's like if Americans decided to embrace Buddhism and decided to tell the Chinese they don't know what they're talking about and added to their "bible" and said accept this, even though they were the originators. Do your research on the "New Testament". The NT just adds confusion to the original Hebrew bible. Search for Him and He will guide you to the truth.

Sharlee05Tovia Rocks!! Great for Converting Jews that have to Justify things to a Christian familyI have been listening to the Rabbi a while now. I am going through a conversion process and he has been extreemly helpful when it comes to talking to the Christians in my family and group of friends. There is no minimizing the impact this kind of blow has on what was once your support system. While the majority of them are still yelling at me and wont let me get a word in edgewise, the one (yes, it is only one) Christian that isn't afraid they will grow a tail or that I will cast a spell on them by talking to them had to stop and think on several points. I feel equipped to very systematically go through my decision and give minimally some comfort to my family and it possibly have some thought provoking bonus as well.

ecohawkBaruch Hashem for Rabbi SingerI followed the path of Ruth to Orthodox Judaism so I could marry my Jewish wife. Rabbi Singer has helped me immeasurably when asked to explain my choice to my Christian family. His insight is tremendous and his grasp of both Christian and Jewish dogma makes his arguments irrefutable to all who will open their eyes to the truth.

Israel60For Christians and Jews alikeThis is a must for any serious student of the Bible. What you should know, but never hear at your church (or at most synagogues for that matter). You will never think of the Bible the same way again. Penatrating analysis, without the polemics.

bcrawford92A great podcast, despite my disagreementAs an evangelical Christian with an intimate knowledge of the issues that Rabbi Singer brings up here, I truly do enjoy the Rabbi's podcast. Never have I heard specific details of Christians' messianic and end-times belief tackled so head-on by a Jew. Rabbi Singer obviously has a great knowledge of the Tanakh and can quote many New Testament verses from memory. This podcast has greatly helped in my understanding of the typical Orthodox Jewish perspective about Christianity. Despite this praise, Rabbi Singer often gives shallow, one-sided arguments that are easily refutable. Nearly every claim of "mistranslation" he points out can be traced to the New Testament's reliance on the Greek Septuagint, rather than the Masoretic Hebrew that the Rabbi reads. His podcasts on Isaiah 53 never once mention the overwhelming chorus of historical rabbis that have stood up to interpret it of a suffering Messiah. His "atonement" lecture gives a shallow lecture that completely does away with the Torah's requirement of blood sacrifice - and he does this by citing one or two verses that seem to say that sacrifice is unneeded (despite the fact that sacrifice continued unabated until forcibly stopped by the Romans). These are just a few examples of holes in the Rabbi's arguments. Thank you, Rabbi Singer, for posting these lectures, as it is strengthening my faith in Yeshua as my Messiah and teaching me how to reach out to Jewish friends like yourself.

MkUltra_MatrixVery Good and InformativeI found Rabbi Singer lectures very informative and helpful in learning how to answer christians. I also recommend for those individuals who love the truth and have no fear in comparing each view point to read Dr Michael Brown, “Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus, vol. 1: General and Historical Objections”. The material is arranged essentially as dialogues between an Orthodox Jew and a responding Messianic.

arrNYCThank Hashem for this podcast! We really need it!!!I am so glad to have found this here. What disturbs me that in a search for Jewish, Judaic, podcasts, the so called "Messianic Jews" show up in results every time. I hope this is inadvertant on the part of Itunes. These groups are not Jews. This is not my opinion. No Jewish authority in either the U.S nor Israel, recognizes any of these churches, as Jewish. They are not granted status as such, nor can they have synagougues sanctioned by such governing authorities, because they do not fit the criteria of Judaism. Those who worship Jesus Christ are seen as Christians universally. Jesus is not in the Torah, Talmud, not in any Jewish source, nor law. Christ is simply not recognized as part of the Jewish faith. Further, the intention of the groups, and their podcasts, is to prostelitize and convert. Judaism expressly forbids any protelitizing and discourages conversion unless one is very seriuous about it and has gone through a rigorous education in Judaism, so as to not attract anyone who is unsure about it. I hope Itunes will change the search results to recognize Jewish groups who are recognized as such. I would hope a podcast called for ex, HinduTeachings, that instead featured Torah lessons, would be removed from Hinduism search responses, and placed in the proper category for the simple fact it does not fit the criteria of what Hinduism is. The bottom line is that you should not be allowed to ignore the well defined laws of one religion, in this case Judaism, follow the rules of the another religion entirely, break the laws of Judaism in doing so, yet be recognized on Itunes as a Jewish podcast nonetheless.

prettyfieldgreat lecturesAlthough i wasn't particularly interested in the title of this podcast i downloaded just to see if it was good. To my surprise it is great. Well worth listening to on so many levels.
-
GrovininthetabernacleThat's a shameThough I love the jewish religion, i'm afaird this Rabbi Tovia needs to read through the prophets a few more times, the New Testament has shown to be the fullfilment of the old, any serious bible scholar jew or gentile can plainly see this is evident. It is impossible to argue otherwise. Even every jewish holiday is a forshadowing of the Messiah Jesus Christ

Ari GoldwagRabbi Singer says it rightRabbi Singer so eloquently and sensitively explains how missionary claims are false, and not founded in truth. Truth-seekers will find his lectures both eye-opening and inspiring.
