A stealth contender for Apex Danny. My money is still on Trejo, but I definitely have Leroux over Zuko or Phantom.

Enjoy the way Nekias and Danny compliment each other’s analysis, each adding facts that give the combination an extra dimension.

Danny is a professional through and through, and the pod brings on both sharp beat writers and analysts who do a great job thinking about the league as a whole. If you’re listening with an eye toward one team *exclusively* the depth might be a bit of a drawback, and he might not say what you want to hear. But that’s because Danny genuinely is clear eyed and unbiased (at the pro-level. He clearly still harbors some love for UCLA). Essential listening for the hardcore NBA fan.

Week after week, Danny Leroux uses data to find interesting angles on the NBA, whether here (on RealGM Radio) or on the Dunc’d On podcast he co-hosts with Nate Duncan. RealGM Radio isn’t one of those unbearable “Hot Takes” shows, whose obnoxious shows whose hosts create fake controversy to conjure ratings. Rather, RealGM Radio features intelligent conversations between Leroux and other analytical hoops minds. Danny invites a diverse series of guests and gets them talking. His show is a joy for any thoughtful NBA fan.

Danny gets to do his thing without that blowhard Nate Duncan who apparently invented the game of basketball. Danny is also allowed to complete a though without Dr. Natesmith interrupting every 10 seconds.

Commercials are annoying and repetitive and sap all the joy from the podcasts I actually listen to.

I listen to quite a few NBA podcasts, and Danny's is the most in-depth. No other basketball podcast goes into the level of detail of team dynamics, salary implications, and individual player strengths/weaknesses. Highly recommend for the listener that likes to get into the weeds.

Never would I have thought the first thing I would hear on a Danny Leroux podcast would be T-Pain talking about strippers 10/10 podcast

Upfront, I’ve never listened to the podcast but his ads for it are torture for my ears. His voice combined with the Hi! I’m Daniel...get to something interesting and perhaps I might listen. Make me care to learn your name and podcast. Sorry maybe I’m just in a bad place mentally and will reconsider but this has bothered me for months now.

I stopped listening during the playoff tiers when the hosts put the jazz in their tier 3 and 4. This despite having a dominant season where the Jazz had the best record in the league, were top 5 in both offense and defense, over 9.2 point differential (3 points better than second best), all while missing a Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley for a chunk of the season. Tier 2? Maybe, but if you are putting the Jazz tier 4 clearly you should not be hosting a podcast, go watch more basketball

Danny’s inability to accept that a player is great or good when they aren’t on a superteam is really tough to handle at this point. He just said Jokic isn’t good enough to be the best player on a championship team bc the Nuggets almost lost to the Jazz. Which means they beat the Jazz. Then beat the Clippers before losing to LeBron and AD. Then won MVP. I think the issue is his lacking any playing experience, making it difficult for him to understand how much individual performance is impacted by the rest of your team.

Shocker. Danny did another tiers pod. Must be Thursday.

Danny does a great job of getting his eclectic mix of guests to elucidate on a particular subject of basketball. One of the only podcasts that effectively blends a short- and a long-term view on this many subjects.

Danny does a great job. His passion, information, and energy are top notch and appreciated. Learned so much information on not just my Knicks, but feel informed on landscape across the league. Thank you and continued success!

I find the nba insight both wonderfully detailed and, for some reason, incredibly relaxing.

Danny gets great guests, and has a unique slant on the league. Superb analysis, forward-thinking look at the league.

As an absolute cap junkie who is fascinated by the inner workings of NBA front office decisions, I absolutely love this pod! Danny has to be the best cap junkie of them all, and his insight and perspectives are an absolute joy to hear!

I heard the host of this killed a guy. He’s got my ears!!!

Danny approaches the game of basketball with the perfect balance of analytics and big picture insight. I love his interviews as he brings such genuine curiosity to all the questions he asks. Plus his signature sign off- “make it a great day” is so money!! A must listen!

I really enjoy this podcast, Danny is a great host and brings in some excellent guests, he recently brought on Ben Taylor who is one of the best analysts I know. Overall great podcast, Danny is a polite guy.

Love the podcast. One of the best around! Arturo keeps interrupting Danny and it’s cringeworthy. He doesn’t let Danny even complete his thoughts. Dude, bring Harper or Matt on for over/under, this guy is a turrible podcaster.

But Arturo needs to stop waffling on the picks. Be bold and move on already. Waiting to see who picked what and agonizing over picks isn’t compelling to hear...at all. Reasons are fine but please show some restraint and be concise.

Enough already. At least ask the guy to come prepared before you bring him on for 5 hours of hot takes.

Arturo is so obnoxious. He talks way too much and interrupts Danny consistently. Not sure why he is brought back on every year.

Danny provides insightful, unbiased NBA analysis and he brings on a great lineup of knowledgeable guests! I loved the most recent pod covering the Northwest division, where Danny brought on David Locke and Adam Mares. Great combination of knowledge and entertaining banter between those three. Keep it up, Mr. Leroux!
