5 star show ya, ya, ya, ya ya
When Toby laughs so hard he starts gigglesšŸ¤£ itā€™s the greatest thing ever. I actually miss Bryce. Shameful as that may be. Thanks to all you guys!

    Update 1-23-23
Not much of a reason to listen to this podcast as the hosts are unlikeable and the discussion ranges from boring to really boring. Skip I was listening to some of the podcasts I used to enjoy and gave CC one last try - still bad. No wonder nobody talks about it anymore. Bury itā€¦itā€™s dead

    Waste of time
Snooze the host are very uniformed on everything thatā€™s not related to comics and they should just stick to comics

    Unlistenable
Update 1/5/22 Ok Iā€™m out. This show is completely unlistenable now. Brock gets worse not better. He behaves like an adult who has stopped emotionally maturing at 12 years old. I just cringed half way through this weeks episode and stopped. Iā€™m unsubscribing. Canā€™t take it anymore. If Brock ever leaves Iā€™ll check it out again but there are too many quality podcasts I could be listening to rather than forcing myself to get through an episode like this. Original Review: Iā€™m a long time listener of this podcast. It used to be the show Iā€™d most look forward to every week. As noted by some other reviewers, some of the personalities had traits that could get slightly annoying, overall there was a decent balance of people and views to make it enjoyable regardless. Fast forward to today and the Podcast has declined considerably. The departure of Bryce (the single hardcore Marvel stan on the show) left an often grossly biased image of DC comics. That can get annoying but it is far from the worst problem here. Many weeks we are left with a 2 man podcast of host Ryan and shop employee Brock. Although I do align politically with Ryan, sometimes the conversations do get overly political but hey, his show his choice. The main issue is Brock. Iā€™m sure heā€™s a very nice person but he is totally unsuited to be on a podcast. My main issues are this: 1. Constantly talking over other panel members or the host. 2. Speaking for the sole purpose of having his voice heard when he has nothing original to contribute other than to parrot what has already been said by others, often incorrectly. 3. The incessant laughing at his own ā€œjokesā€ or often laughing at nothing at all (point in case, todays discussion about the health of Superstar artist George Perez and inappropriate laughter when nothing funny has been said). 4. Contradicting others points and having him drone on only to often find out he is completely wrong about what he is saying and then taking 10 more minutes to poorly try to explain away what he ā€œreally meantā€. 5. Frat boy obsession with Harley Quinn. A couple of times it was funny. Now itā€™s just cringe worthy. I could go on but you get the ideaā€¦ā€¦ A couple of years ago my rating would have been higher. Having more panel members limited Brockā€™s frequent outbursts but with so many departures, many weeks we are left with a 2 man show. When that happens I start listening but usually stop and delete that weeks episode because I canā€™t make it through. I donā€™t think itā€™s worth giving up on. Hopefully more people can be added once the pandemic is behind us and things return to a more normal state in the world, but for now Iā€™ll make my listening decisions on a week to week basis. I hope for the best because I do miss the old show.

    Odd
How do yo cover DC fandome with a guy who didnā€™t watch any of the trailers or anything? Thus no opinions was shared. Odd format

    Different type of Podcast
This is a great podcast to listen to if you want to listen to guys scared to death of COVID, and not hear about comics

The negativity is getting to be too much
This is a podcast, and shop, weā€™ve supported for many years. That said, the last few months it has become increasingly difficult to listen. The constant pessimism about the worldā€™s health progressing has gotten to be too much. Itā€™s understandable that several of the voices are fearful and prefer an introverted world, but constantly saying movie theaters, cons, etc arenā€™t coming back is getting old. Iā€™m a fully vaccinated, mask-wearing, individual, but I also root for things to get back to normal. The podcast has become mentally-taxing when it should be a fun thing about comics.

Poor souls who dislike like this show. Itā€™s actually great!
My god do people have a lot of hateful things to say about this podcast. Honestly probably one of my favorite podcast because you have a sincere feeling your in the room with everyone. I feel bad for people who are upset for character flaws in their eyes. It is the most interesting people and unique points of view. Thatā€™s why Iā€™ll keep coming back for more. Keep it up Comic Conspiracy.

    Trump Broke Ryan
Ryan is just all politics all the time. I get that you donā€™t like Trump but heā€™s a con man not the leader of the 4th reich.
  • Copperchef
Comic store chatter for good or bad
A decent show as long as Bryce isnā€™t on it and Tobi isnā€™t drunk.
  • fulltilted
    Really bad and uniformed
The constant political garbage makes this mess unintelligible.
  • Thedarkknight0055
Not good. Tried 4 different episodes. All horrible
Yeah, this is the worst comic book related podcast I have ever listened to. Donā€™t bother.

    Love you guys!
This show is so fun, and yā€™all put out so much content on a regular schedule, itā€™s impressive. Love your guests and your comic reviews, but closest to my heart is your list shows - Every Story Ever and the late, lamented Panel President (sniff, I really miss it!) even though you guys are insane in your ranking logic, but itā€™s ok, the conversations are always entertaining and informative. Had to finally write a review having just finished listening to EP 488 - wildly entertaining stuff about Pennyworth! Would make a noble addition to rotate in since their is so much non-comic capes content these days. Keep on keepinā€™ on, boys!

    Solid Comic Book Podcast
Itā€™s a good comic podcast. They actually know what they are talking about and can go over what happens in the books in depth. Once you get past one of the co-hosts Toby yelling and screaming and cursing all the time for no reason then youā€™re good to go with this podcast.

Great Podcast minus sales charts potions
Great Podcast and have listened for years . If youā€™d like to continue the sales charts perhaps adding a time code or doing them on a separate episode would be ideal . Those are by far my least listened to episodes . Otherwise keep up the good work !
  • Niteguard
    BOOM
I just found this podcast and Iā€™m digging back and listening to old episodes. Itā€™s like finding a time vault of collectible comics. Downloaded 10 episodes for a long trip over the holidays.

    Great Podcast, With One Exception
I've listened to the podcast for years, and it's usually fantastic. I appreciate hearing things from a retailer's perspective, and I'm the one who actually enjoys the sales charts. Comics Conspiracy is also a great shop and I recommend buying from them, whether you're in the area or have to do so via mail-order. Ryan, Charlie, and Kevin are all great, which leads me to my main issue: Brock. Brock is a dumb, obnoxious, horny bro who constantly talks over others (especially Charlie) to repeat his lame jokes or make points that are completely irrelevant to the discussion. I laugh every time Ryan doesn't know why Brock decided to have an outburst about racist/sexist fans (a valid issue but often completely unprovoked) or talk about how horny he is for Harley Quinn. In a recent episode while discussing piracy, for some reason he mentioned giving your copy to a friend, which made no sense and Ryan even said so. I guess it could be worse, though. Bryce could still be on every episode, going on 20-minute rants about how a character who isn't Mary Jane... Doesn't act like Mary Jane. That was a weird one.

    My favorite podcast
Pure fun coupled with good information. Also, Charlie is the best!
  • Shboettcher
    Wow
I have been listening for a few years now. They are very left wing. Yet I still enjoyed the comics side of the conversation. But then they had to get political! Not all Trump supporters are racist Nazis!
  • Jeremy Acker
    Insufferable
Came from the geek box. Tried listening to the Endgame podcast. Couldnā€™t make it through. Itā€™s just 4-5 guys yelling over each other their opinion without giving an inch or even trying to take the time to let each other speak or understand each otherā€™s point.
  • T HubbZ
    Tony needs to shut up
Tried listening to the endgame discussion and any time someone says something Toby has to chime in and say something. He doesnā€™t even wait till the person is done talking, he just talks louder than everyone else so he can get his 1000 words in. Would have liked to hear what everyone else thought about it but only got to hear toby screaming over everyone. Hopefully this gets fixed and I will give this podcast another chance
  • 12thletter
    Quality
Although I miss Bryce being on consistently, thereā€™s nothing that I can compare this show to. Keep it up.
  • Comickook
    Now I remember .
I remember why I stopped listening now. With the release of Endgame I decided to give their episode a listen . You guys are giving me flashbacks (not good) to conversations around the comic book store pickup day waiting for the UPS drop off . Everyone needs to think before they speak and Ryan you cannot always be right to the exclusion of everyone else or real world facts. Just because you are the host does not make you right . You are constantly stating incorrect facts and dismissing all others out of hand . Going to see if I can make it through this ep. It is not looking good.

    A mess of a podcast
The total lack of format that leads to people joining late, tons of ambient background chatter and side conversations make this podcast super difficult to listen to and also very boring at times. It would do a lot better have a more rigid format and a generally shorter run time.
  • Jnkhan82
    Drunk Toby
Last episode never wants to make me want to ever touch a drink. Iā€™m a new listener, so if Toby is mentally challenged...I apologize.
  • Maplebob23
    The Comic Straw Man Conspiracy
This used to be a fun podcast about comics but now it is a bunch of guys creating straw men ā€˜man babiesā€™ to complain about. They hate anyone to the right and lodge constant accusations of harassment where there is none. The time has come to leave this once loved podcast in the dustbin of history.
  • The Drunk Viking
    The mighty have fallen
For those familiar with the show, thereā€™s been a hole in it for sure awhile. Itā€™s amazing how Bryceā€™s departure inadvertently tanked the content and quality of the show. Iā€™d argue that the strongest episodes were always Ryan and Bryce 2-manning it. They played off each other very well. But part of what made the whole Marvel v DC ongoing joke is that it was clever between them. With his absence, 90% of the show has devolved into a therapy session for Ryan to deal with his political angst, with always-loyal toadie Brock intoning his leaderā€™s thoughts with not one original thought. For a show that prides itself on being progressive, pretty gross hearing him constantly wetting himself over Harley Quinn art, Mera (ā€œI wonder if the carpet matches the drapesā€), and other females. Just gross. I miss the old show. Used to be great. Now itā€™s just the Ryan and Brock show. Antacids (and alcohol) are required.

A Fun Podcast with Interesting People
I enjoy this podcast. It a very fun and diverse group of people who are fun to listen to. Iā€™m not into comics, but I enjoy listening to the group talk about them. I really love the long yet fun movie reviews. Iā€™m really looking forward to hearing their Ready Player One movie review. Iā€™m sure itā€™s going to be a very fun and interesting review. Thanks for always entertaining us. Keep up the good work guys.

    Had to Stop Listening
I have got to the point where I simply can't listen to this show anymore. I am so tired of the constant negativity about everything no matter how small. Also for actual grown ups the need to act like sterotypical fanboys about everything is sad to see. For someone who runs a comic store they do a great job of getting me to not want to buy comics.
  • tonecapo
    Great show & knowledge.
I really enjoy the sales charts reviews!
  • DisablingApollo
    Love this podcast
Got into comic books a couple years ago and started listening to this podcast almost immediately and it has really helped me grasp the industry and whats good to read Great insights to the most popular things coming out for the big 2 publishers and the discourse between the group is entertaining, especially between Ryan and Bryce.

    Nice Marvel Love!
Still fresh and fun after 300+ episodes. Is it getting better?!? Possibly. Itā€™s been a fun ride and the hosts are your friend and informants in your comic spy knowledge journey.

    Great podcast!
I've been listening for several months now, and it's my favorite comic book podcast. I've listened to at least a dozen other comic book podcasts, and the comic conspiracy is where it's at! Keep up the great work!

    Best comic podcast out there
By far the best comic podcast I've found. Getting a comic book shop owners perspective brings in a whole new level of appreciation of comics!
  • Michael.Runner
    Great podcast
Very informative and fun to listen to. They actually have real opinions of comics and comic related movies and they argue for what the think. No group think here, everyone has their own thoughts and opinions.
  • AlphaNerd1UP
    Whoops!
How have I never reviewed The Comic Conspiracy podcast?! I've been listening since the beginning, coming as a fan of The Geekbox. This is a super informative show about comics, but I especially love the episodes where Ryan goes into detail about the retail and business side of things. Yes, the show can get chaotic sometimes because of certain hosts *coughcoughBryceLarsencoughcough*, but each of the regular crew brings something special to the table. Like, you know all this already. They don't need my silly review. But it's one of my favorite shows, and I'd kick myself if I never wrote a review about them. It's a weekly must listen for this comic geek
I've tried many comic book podcasts over the years and dropped more than I can count. So many just don't work for me. Then I heard this podcast recommended from the Comic Book Page podcast and thought i'd give it a try. I'm so glad i did. This is just a great listen and i really appreciate the conversation every week. I live in southern Illinois with not the greatest comic book store to visit. So, it's been hard to get my comic fix for the past 4 years (since moving here). It's podcast that make me feel connected to the large comic world and with so few good ones worth listening to i really hang on to good ones like this. I could go on and on, but i think i've made my point. :) If you want a good comic conversation, please give this one a try. You'll be super glad you did.

    Episode 303
I finally got around to listening to episode 303, and Bryce's rant on Iron Fist was pure comedy gold. It was so funny i rewound and listened to it 3 times in a row. Keep up the excellent work guys! Definitely my favorite podcast!
  • AfroLuffy
    Great podcast
Amazing comics podcast. Only thing it needs is even more DC (aka the objectively best comics publisher) talk.
  • Nava Promotions
    Excellent source of news.
Always my go to when I'm in need of something new to read. These guys really nail it on the head about how the comic world really works. I wish Ryan didn't hate D.C. so much. I look foreword to hearing Bryce rant about something that I have a hard time following every week!
  • Ohmygodohmygodohmygod
Come for the arguments, stay for the Bryce rants
These guys are ridiculous... and hilarious. You haven't experienced comic absurdity until you hear Higgins and Bryce get into an argument neither that usually devolves into incoherent yelling. Great listen.
  • Beskartom
    Super informative and fun podcast!
This podcast is one of the weirdest and enjoyable podcasts I have ever listened to. One second the show sounds like your listening to an episode of a Ken Burns PBS documentary with the hosts acting like a venerable fountain of comic book knowledge...and then the dick jokes and CW butt love starts. Ryan Higgins pulls back the curtain of the comic book industry. What Ryan shares about his store has tripled what I know about comics in general. The monthly sales chart episodes are packed with tons of information and it's great knowing this stuff before going into your own comic book shop to buy comics. This show is at its best though when Bryce Larson is on. No it's not because Bryce is a fantastic human being, has the best tastes out of anyone else on the show, and has a completely unbiased opinion on the comic book industry. It's because he provides a differing opinion then Ryan and this is when the best conversations happen. Seriously though this podcast is fantastic. Brock, Toby, Ryan, Charlie, and Bryce all bring different things to the table, and they make you feel like your one of the crew while listening.
