    Great show
Enjoyable listen; it’s a nice mix of advanced and beginners info which is nice for a beginner! Let’s you get the basics without feeling like you’re being schooled

    Incredibly informative
As a newer triathlete without a coach this podcast is really informative and insightful. Quite a wide range of guests with different experiences that offer information I wouldn’t have otherwise thought of. With that being said, there are quite a lot of pauses in the interview that don’t really flow into the following questions or natural cadence of a conversational interview.

Amazing podcast for triathletes out anyone interested in running, cycling or swimming
Amazing podcast for triathletes out anyone interested in running, cycling or swimming. I don't have a coach, so this podcasts has provided all the info I need on training, nutrition, technique for each discipline, rest and strength training

    The best podcast
The best podcast I have listened too. Very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t change a thing. Keep them coming please.

Great podcast. “Regular” people interviews are what I like the most.
I am a beginning triathlete in Michigan. I started because my wife, a seasoned triathlete, decided to go for a half Ironman. She needed a training partner for the long bike rides... so..... I bought a $150 road bike off a neighbor. Giant ACR, stuck aero bars on it and away we went. I am a seasoned runner typically running 2-3 destination half marathons so training was nothing new. When she went to the pool I decided I might as well go too. Well that lead to signing up for my first Triathlon in mid July. I am happy to say I completed the race and won my age group (40-44). Smaller race but a confidence booster to say the least. Swimming open water is nerve wrecking for a first timer and the few OWSs we did helped but just getting through the race did it. I am hooked. We are now signed up for a couple more (sprint distance).

    Great guests and actionable information
Just found this podcast a week ago. I’ve listened to 5-6 episodes and have found the information very useful. I’ve already made some changes/plans for training based on what has been discussed.

    Best informative triathlon podcast
I love this podcast for all sorts of things and the people he interviews are just as great to listen too. He gets people who know what they are talking about.

    Simply Outstanding
Been listening for about 2 months. I have learned a ton. I have sampled other podcasts on this subject and find this one to be the best. The nutrition based information has proved to be so insightful. Out of my learning through this podcast, I have lost over 8 lbs in about 2 months by reducing carbs. In effect I was over eating carbs. Now I carb load prior to long workouts while minimizing carbs otherwise. Feel tons better all around and the results speak for themselves. I am 3 years into tris and lots to learn yet this podcast has really accelerated that curve. Thank You!

    Motivating, Informative, Entertaining

    triathlon training
Found these by accident as I was looking for something to listen to accompany me on my long runs. I love the diversity of the people Eric interviews and his humble approach to these conversations. I learn so much from each podcast and the kilometres just peel away as it feels like I am running with friends. So much fun to hear people from all over burning with the same motivations and love for the sport, looking forward to my next long run... For every Triathlete of any level
Absolute a must listen for every level of triathlete. Great info using a wide variety of guests who give their take on triathlon training. Love the professional and age group interviews as well as the interviews with the top researchers in the field. Thank you Eric, hope all is well and keep up the quality work. I’m going through all the podcasts again and giving them all a second listen.

    Highly Recommended
I've waited to write this review. I found the podcast a couple of months ago and have listened to 55 episodes to make sure I wasn't reviewing as a knee-jerk reaction. And I can say this, the podcast is great. I would recommend this podcast for anyone who is looking to advance in the field of triathlon, from beginner to advanced. There is enough of a mix of technical and practical to keep me happy. My triathlon background is limited, having completed one half-iron race. However, I feel much more confident in training and understanding to hit my ultimate goal of an ironman. I highly recommend this podcast to others looking to grow in the sport.

    Insightful, Helpful and Cutting Edge
I have been listening to Eric's podcast now for a few weeks. He brings in some of the industry's top performers, coaches and experts. I learn something new from almost every podcast. I have been competing in triathlons and multi-events since 2000 and I even learn new things from the Tri Newbies that Eric interviews. Thank you Eric and all of your terrific guests for producing and hosting such a terrific podcast.
  • First Timer 70.3'er
    Required listening for a 70.3
I completed the 70.3 Arizona in Oct 2017. Eric's guests, especiially the half- Ironman newbies, who recanted their stories was helpful to me. I approached the race well-educated and prepared. The podcast changed the way I hydrated, how I made training trade-off decisions due to time (eg strength vs run), pace setting, nutrition during the race, etc. I had a coach and this podcast complemented my training nicely. Thank you, Eric. Profile (45 yrs old, two kids, married and have a career that puts me on a plane almost weekly - 99 flights this year alone.)

Perfect Tips in Easy to Use Format
Eric does a great job of condensing down the sport of triathlete into much easier to digest segements. He makes it easy to start training or learn more. I have been looking for a triathlon podcast that was going to help me learn more about the sport as I progressed. This definetely did the trick efficiently and intelligently. I always learned something new in all the episodes. I became a better triathlete and applied a lot of the knowledge in my first half ironman.

    Best triathlon podcast out there
I've listened to just about every episode of Eric's podcast and can't get enough. Fantastic mix of interviewees--from newbie triathletes to Ironman champions--and topics for triathletes of all ages, backgrounds, and levels. Eric has a gift for asking intelligent questions and synthesizing the most important training morsels for his audience. Just wish these came out more frequently. Keep up the great work!

No dogma: Triathlon training and discussion for real people
I wrote a lengthy review and it didn't upload- the jist: Eric does a great job navigating the boundary between data and anecdote, and is incredibly thoughtful with new folks (I love those interviews) and drawing out how experts would apply their knowledge. Love this podcast!

    Great Podcast
This is a great podcast. I listened to it all winter in the car and felt it really helped me prepare for my first sprint distance triathlon. I wish he would interview more women though.

    Informative
I listen to this podcast whenever I am in my car. I just signed up for my first sprint triathlon about a month ago, and have been all over the internet, researching. I found this podcast and haven’t listened to anything else. Eric has great guests on the show and has awesome discussions. He also takes questions from his listeners for guests or him to answer on the show. I have learned a lot from this podcast and I am now listening to all of the episodes for a second time to pick up anything I missed. THANKS ERIC!
  • MrluceroABQ

Thanks Eric this podcast had really been helpful!

    Fascinating and informative
I love the balance between basic information, stories and results, advanced technique, and just geeking out on all things tri. I go back and listen to a lot of the old episodes and even ones I think I won’t be interested in, I am. Keep it up!
  • Out$23
    Excellent triathlon resource!
I've been into triathlon for a couple years, done some half-iron distances and am preparing for a full next year. I've checked out several tri podcasts and this is by far the best I've found. From interviews of first-time age grouper to sports scientists discussing their research applications to pro interviews to conversations with legends--check out the session with Dave Scott!--Eric Schwartz finds some great topics and let's his guests do most of the speaking, supplemented with his own experience and knowledge. And in reasonable 40-50 minute durations. Keep up the great work, Eric!
  • Miki087
    Best podcast for triathlon
Eric does a fantastic job covering topics on triathlon training and science. I recommend him to everybody I meet in the sport as the best resource for all skill levels.

    short but packed
I just started getting into this podcast and I’ve heard several dozen already. Eric is great at directing the interviews and has all sorts of people on from athletes doing their first race to experts in varying fields. much of the information is ‘timeless’ in the sense that it’s relevant today and will probably be relevant several years from now. i HIGHLY recommend subscribing and listening to old episodes.
  • Bostonfrench
    Real talk and no bull....
I recently been introduce to podcast by my wife and found Eric's podcast. Eric is very knowledgable and if he doesn't know something. He won't make up an answer but look into it and get back to you during his next podcast or put a note on his website. He also has a safe approach regarding training, something that I like. He always manage to have great guest on his show. I have been racing for 4 years now but I still have a lot to learn. Eric provided me with a lot of answer. Overall great stuff. Keep up the good work Eric and I wish you the best with your coaching business.

  • Chris Ritter
    A must listen
Eric brings on great guests with thought provoking info. Especially liked Joe Friel on "Fast Over 50" good stuff and keep up the good work!
  • reducedguilt
    Best Tri Podcast
Eric shares his story and his experiences in running, duathlons and triathlons. He has a lot of great guests and the interviews provide a lot of helpful information that isn't common sense for newbie triathletes (or something you could easily google). I am a 37 year old Age Grouper who is training for his first IronMan. I subscribed because the podcasts were extremely helpful to listen to on my commutes to work or sessions on my indoor trainer. Keep up the great work, Eric!
