What exactly is the purpose of telling others where you hunt? Rather it’s on an open forum or podcast or on a paid subscription what’s the point? You say the woods are getting over crowded and then you add to it. The actual location of the hunt has zero to do with teaching someone about the hunt. If I made a video about hunting deer funnels would it matter if I was in Georgia or Louisiana? Your starting to act just like the ones you complain about. What about the locals in Georgia or the Midwest that you will be broadcasting their hunting areas to? 100-150 people you say paying to see the videos, everyone of those people will tell at least another person and now what. Some of the public areas in Kansas and the Midwest are small acreage wise. Adding another 20 people to a 1200 acre WMA can and will make a difference, let alone another 100. There’s a huge new crop of wannabes that are clueless about hunting and will not put the time into learning woodsmanship. These clowns would gladly pay 15$ to scroll thru your videos to find exact locations to start a hunt, then drop your subscription lol. How do you not get that. This is just another person trying to make a dollar regardless of the outcome. I notice your buddy Robert Carter is now saying he doesn’t tell people we’re he hunts lol. Too late for that unless he’s started his own private WMA in the last couple years he’s already broadcast where he hunts on bowhunting forums years back. Ft. Stewart, Horse Creek etc. etc. I liked this podcast for awhile but it’s degenerated into to the same old thing like the hunting public clowns. Your no better than they are and doing the same thing to public land to make a dollar. I’m sure this review will be taken down immediately so you can save a buck lol and you will not have an answer for the questions cause you don’t have one.

Great bow hunting and outdoor podcast
Thanks for all the great content. Always informative and grabs my attention. You put 110 percent into everything you do!

Take a shot every time Jason says Patrion! You’ll be drunk in 10 minutes!!! Good grief

    Blah blah blah
This content will give you a headache. The constant rambling, ranting, and babbling is head splitting. It’s an over the top biased look into the outdoors. The contradictory nature is hilarious.

    More than worth it..
The time & effort this guy has put into his archery course.. it’s absolutely insane! I’ve been listening to the podcasts & taking his online course & there’s just a TON of information & I’m acting starting to see what he’s saying in the field with live deer! I’m starting to THINK LIKE A DEER (or think about how a deer is going to think to try to keep from being killed) & I know this is gonna be a game changer for me.

    Best Trad hunting podcast
Far and away the greatest podcast out there for not just trad hunters but any whitetail hunter. Love that this podcast is about seeing how many inches you get away from the animal not the inches of bone on their head
  • TrucklessYooper
    Very very strongly opinionated.
Well he has a lot of great information....if you agree with him. I would pity the man who doesn’t and wants to challenge Jason’s view. I don’t agree with everything he says but the man is passionate, and backs up his claims. I’ll still listen but with a grain of salt.

    Best Trad Archery Podcast
I’ve been archery hunting since 1984 and this is hands down the most informative podcast I’ve ever listened too. Jason goes over everything imaginable in depth and I’ve learned so much and would like to personally thank him for sharing all this great information to make us better hunters and our camps more comfortable.

    Listen carefully
Jason is full of insightful information. Even if you don’t plan on doing things the same way, he gives you a great jump off point for your own experimentation. I love tuning in. -Shan

Hunting Items You Should and Should Not Spend Money On
Enjoyed the episode - couldn't agree more on Keens. Mercifully generous toe box, tough as a coffin nail and comfortable. Altra's are another great option. Spending money on good glass is also solid advice (Celestron is a great bargain option for the price conscious). One issue was the "any bow will do...." Agree that a properly fitted modern bow will outshoot most of us, but unwise advice to a newby with a 31" draw who picks up a used 65# 58" bow at a garage sale and wonders why so many problems getting a tune. Bow needs to fit the archer, particularly the newcomer.

    Great Podcast
Jason is very knowledgable about the outdoors and specifically traditional bowhunting deer and each episode is thorough. I guarantee if you listen to a few episodes you’ll learn something nee and useful. Keep it up Jason!

    120” todays new fork horn.
You couldn’t be more spot on. Also brought back a lot of memories. I cut my teeth bow hunting in the late 70’s early 80’s. I remember those wood block tree steps, crotch stands and all. Dug my old Loc-on stand out this year. Given by a special friend who’s no longer with us, I’d never leave it in the woods. Well I bought some Hawk tree sticks this year and used my Loc-on again. Stand is 8 pounds. Killed my first self bow buck this year from that stand, a great trophy 4 point at about 8 yds. And my first with my St.Charles Thunderbird. Another trophy, 6 point. From that same stand. First deer i ever watched drop in sight. It was epic. I love the old ways. Had no trail cam pictures of these deer, although they had been seen in the area. Love your pod cast and views, hopefully folks will wake up and want to get back to hunting! 🏹 Steve

    Great podcast
Enjoy listening weekly (actually more than weekly as I am still catching up on older episodes. Keep up the great work Jason!

    Great information
Jason is long winded but offers a common sense approach/advice about mobile hunting. He has very few biases, and oftentimes calls himself out on the strong personal preferences as he mentions things that he is biased towards without having experience with other products. He tends to get and recommend gear that works and is not an elitist when it comes to equipment, which I really like. When he recommends gear, it’s a sure bet that if your going to use it like he does that it will work well for most people. I have listened to every one of his podcasts and look forward to hearing his new weekly podcasts. There is some good information in here for hunters of all ages and experience levels. While it’s geared towards the mobile, whitetail, traditional archery equipment using bow hunter, there is a good discussion of gear and techniques and mindsets that can benefit hunters pursuing almost any land dwelling creature with almost any weapon.

    The Real Deal
Been listening for a couple years now. Jason has a great way of explaining real life situations and great DIY ideas for anything from camping, archery, hunting, etc. There are lots of podcasts out there, but these are never on the backlog of podcasts to listen to. I make time to listen to Jason’s podcast, it’s that good.

Great podcast with honest opinions not influenced by sponsors. Covers a wide variety of traditional archery and hunting topics. One of the best.

    Best podcast ever, period.
Jason is a true ambassador for our traditional community. I've listened and watched all his material and I'm a better hunter because of it. His authenticity is unmatched.

    Long Time Listener
I've been a long time listener of this show and I NEVER miss one! I'm worried that Jason will run out of content but then I realize I can start at the begining and listen to them all over again - the information is timeless, well delivered and fun! Thanks for a great show!!
  • Huntryx
    A strong start
But now it has deteriorated into a weekly repetitive rant of little interest. Stronger content and less frequent episodes might fix this. Jason knows his subject but can't stay on track. Too much about his "toys".

    Awesome Show!
Jason, I just wanted to take moment out of my busy life to thank you again for the service you provide. You have truly inspired me on so many levels and taught me a lot. I'm always hungry for knowledge and your show makes use of a somewhat useless hour commute. It's a Monday morning traditional around my neck of the woods. I always look forward to your shows etc. Good luck this season!
