George man22Favorite PodcastI’ve subscribed to Aviation Week for the last 40 years. The podcast is incredible - the contributors are both entertaining and highly knowledgeable. This podcast is for those who want the in-depth angle for any story, rather than the breathless pablum from the know-nothing general media (rapid descents become “plunges”).

Paper Airplane FanAerospace week excellentI can always count on the Aviation Week podcast for current, relevant, excellent content with authoritative staff and guests who are driving aerospace news
-
c_lindseyA must for following the aviation industryBest podcast about the business of aviation!
-
aduuuuuuhSuperb PodcastI really enjoy the format and depth of both industry and technical knowledge.
-
bigthingsdoneGreat Aviation PodcastGreat podcast for Aviation News and insights. Especially around the Boeing crisis, and when it comes to Airshows. Just wish the episodes were more frequent, as there can be weeks between episodes. There should be more content related to Engine Propulsion and the major manufacturers. Great listen!

hbrosnerLove this!I used to subscribe to AWST magazine as a kid. This podcast is a great answer for me in that I can just select which I want to listen to. Thanks so much and keep them coming.

Scotty211.2Engaging and relevantPodcasts are about current topics and cover a wide variety- technology, commercial, safety, military; and the length of each podcast is great. Very enjoyable to listen and learn.
-
GraybrainHighly expert but sometimes myopicDespite my score, I strongly recommend this podcast to anyone who is interested in aviation. The journalist have good access and deep expertise. However, the outlook episodes with a forecast from Accenture are full of current business school buzzwords with little substance. A few years ago they said block-chain software would transform aerospace. This year AI will transform aerospace. How exactly will that happen? Did the block-chain revolution ever do anything? I never hear any follow up on previous predictions.

George71638Fantastic ContentThe insight and information in Check Six Is always great and I really enjoy it. I always learn something about the industry. Only reason I’m only giving four stars: The sponsored episodes aren’t as good as those done by Aviation Week alone.

Crazy192837Didn’t take long for liberal bias to show. HORRIBLE audio qualityAwful audio. Get it together. Audio quality is just awful.
-
HillCyWhy virgin orbit went bankruptA fine introduction to the issue and very good analysis of the technology and business issues involved. A very interesting conversation for aviation enthusiasts and newbies. Well done!
-
Skinnybones6551Amazing!!! 😃 😁😁I’m a teen who has always been interested in military aviation and this is sooooooo informative. Love it! Definitely going to keep listening.
-
eagerkdExcellent podcastContent is consistently high quality; contributors are knowledgeable and credible. Audio quality could be better. There is also room to allow more depth in depth discussion on interesting topics - too often the ‘lead’ says “we’ll we’re out of time.”

iFlyDMEarcsTechnical content: appallingDon't be fooled by ratings that say "excellent content." It *SOUNDS* fascinating, informative and sensible to aviation enthusiasts who come here expecting factual and valid information and explanations of complex topics, but don't know enough to recognize that too often the analysis or explanation is not even speculation, but fiction that is technically incorrect or nonsensical. I'm glad there was no internet when I was a youngster; sure, aviation information was much more difficult—and expensive—to come by, but I didn't have to worry that I might be getting rot for an education foundation because immoral fools had stepped on the too-cheap and too-convenient soapbox called The Internet and pretended knowledge and expertise. It is unethical to deliberately mislead and misinform the inquiring and impressionable minds that will likely become the aviation industry of tomorrow.

rcassidy974My Favorite Aviation Industrial NewsIf you’re interested in aviation industry news and technology you can’t get better than Aviation Week Check 6. Their editors and writers are extremely knowledgeable and well-connected.

Twix2247Great content, needs better audio qualityGreat content, informative and the reporters are insightful. They do need to work on their audio quality.
-
'Shrek'Fantastic ContentThe content is amazing. Truly enjoy listening in. The audio quality of the host is sometimes good and sometimes breaks down on a speaker. The guests sound quality is a lot better than before. But all in all, still love the show and the discussions.

BLUFFCAESARMust listen on weekly basisIf you love what you do in aerospace and what to stay updated this is the podcast for you. Well done.

Workday fanTimely informationGreat discussions on timely topics that expand on their written coverage. The podcasts are usually only 20 minutes and convenient to listen too.

asrdevarkAviation week’ 6 Check sixAviation week’s check 6 podcast is the only podcast that is on my must listen to list. I am 60 years old and have been a aviation fan for as long as I can remember. I spent many years in the Army working on helicopters mostly Hueys and Blackhawks. I truly look forward to every episode of this podcast. Could the quality of their sound be improved? Maybe but I couldn’t care. I am more interested in the quality of the information that they put out. I will simply end with a big thank you.
-
Smuckazz Eeets TreetzExpert contentSimply nothing comparable. Highly knowledge journalists and experts sharing their knowledge. Great info for not just aviation but any allied area (defense, international economics, etc)
-
DanThueSuperficial continent and poor audio qualityKudos to Aviation Week for trying to do a podcast. I am appreciative that they put content out there. However, they are not taking advantage of the medium in anyway. Instead of allowing long form discussion with interviewees, they have focused only on producing short interview clips where it appears that’s those interviewer and interviewee are using their cell phone speaker for the audio device.
-
longrun26.2Unforgivably bad audio qualityThat the horrendous audio quality of this podcast has been consistently noted by reviewers for three years, and that nothing seems to have been done about it, suggests that Aviation Week doesn’t care. Given how bad things are, all they’d need do to realize major improvement would be to have each guest record his/her own audio on a smartphone, email the individual audio tracks to a child (I’m guessing somebody at Aviation Week has one in the household), and the child could put these together using a simple program like Garageband to achieve a podcast of immeasurably better sound quality than what Aviation Week is currently putting out. The content of this podcast is often excellent, but I’m tired of struggling to hear/understand what’s being said.

recce crewdogToo much speculationLot of guessing, few facts

JimboQ327Love the content, hate the qualityGreat info, cool topics, good interviews, awful audio quality
-
AZ Cool BreezeSound QualityLast interview I listened to sounded like it was in a fishbowl, located on a construction site where circular saws were cutting concrete. Embarrassing that the industry leader doesn’t try a little harder in this regard.
-
Tim McGheeAudio quality, especially on the phone connectionThis podcast is unlistenable. The interviewer’s audio is fine, but the connection to the interviewee is unbearably grating. At least run some equalization on the audio to make it less sharp. Some normalization could probably help, too. Too many people were rating 3 stars based on audio quality, and it apparently is not enough to send a message to the podcast host. The content seems interesting, although the Elon Musk interview was quite bad, too. If the man pauses a lot when he speaks, that’s something that can be edited it for podcast publishing. There are plenty of podcasts that are unlistenable, but it’s worth sending a message here because this is content that people would *want* to hear.

AvWeek ListenerEmbedded Ads and Audio Undermine a Good PodcastThis podcast often has fascinating content, but as many others have said, it suffers from poor audio quality. I'm also disappointed in what seems to be embedded advertisement. Two podcasts in a row (FedEx and "What A&D Companies Should Invest In After COVID-19") are advertisements for FedEx and Accenture respectively, embedded into the content. I'm happy to listen to sponsors' messages, but I will stop listening if content and advertisement continue to blur together in an underhanded way.
-
CarnyVery poorly producedIt’s very evident that these people are print editors. The production value is very low because nobody knows how to speak effectively, organize thoughts, or record and edit sound.
-
Connery96Sound quality is horrible content is greatThe content is so good but sometimes it’s hard to listen to. Please invest in a better audio system!
-
Joe25RSAudio audioPlease, please, please do something about the audio quality. Content is good, but frequently overshadowed by terrible audio production.
-
StangEscapeGood content - HORRIBLE AUDIOI’ve been listening for awhile hoping the audio would get better, but it just hasn’t. It’s unfortunate because the content is very intriguing and relevant, but I can’t get past how poor the audio is. There are kids recording podcasts in their basements with better sound quality! Your subscribers deserve better!
-
Pete Likes BaconGreat Content - Poor AudioThat about sums it up. Others have elaborated already.

Cranks of steelFind the young person in the officeContent? 100%. Sound quality? Unlistenable. Please, put $20 into your production and record some clear audio. Go find the young person who knows something about the internet and have them handle the record and editing. Sounds like it was recorded by accident.
-
iggypilotConference call about latest aviation newsGreat content. Good way to keep up with the latest aviation industry developments. Sound quality?....I guess I’ve been on worse conference calls. This one seems professional, sounds like they are in proper offices...There hasn’t been background sounds of toilets flushing, or kids screaming, or car turning signals. Also no snoring, dropped calls, or issues sharing their desktop, or apologies when someone realizes they’ve been talking on mute.
-
CaptCrunch12Great content but audio quality is lackingI love to hear about the new projects and what is happening in aviation, but the audio quality is lacking. It sounds like they are recording with a potato. In all honesty they are probably recording in conference room and background sounds can be distracting. Also call in guest volume varies and can be difficult to hear
-
kay to the beeeeeHorrible sound quality, but good infoIf you can get a past the horrible sound quality and the self indulgence of the narrators, it’s ok.
-
TitanjeepGood Info, Poor ProductionContent is good, but the recordings can be difficult to hear. They need to put some resources into their productions
-
YouI bagginsIt’s good not greatSome interesting conversations but I can’t stand that someone coughed in the episode and it was ear splitting in my car. Seriously ruined this show for me
