The major issue I see with Leah Downey’s idea of having Congressional involvement in Fed policy= I don’t want partisan politicians controlling monetary policy, when most of them have NO knowledge in this area.

I am a new follower but this podcast has rapidly become my favorite. The interview with David dredge and Cem is one of my favorite episodes of any podcast. The latest one with Cem was amazing as well. Which prompted me to write this review. If you haven’t listened to this podcast. I highly recommend it. Great job guys. Please keep them coming.

This is my favorite podcast, and I listen to a lot of them. This episode, systematic investor SI333, on convexity is outstanding. Neils Kaastrup-Larsen’s guest, Richard Brennan, did an outstanding job explaining this portfolio concept for the layperson. Richard, thank you so much for freely sharing your tremendous knowledge!

Kevin’s series is awesome. The Martin Wolf episode was very political. Martin is a journalist and for that reason I guess he decided to preach his democratic socialist agenda. It’s the first such political speech I’ve heard on this podcast. I am glad I heard it. It really puts Mr. Wolf’s body do work into perspective. I am sure the Atlantic would love to have him. Thanks everyone for all your good work!!!

There’s immense depth here and in the back catalog. Neils and the other hosts do a great job as moderators and hosts covering a variety of issues in the macro world and their own expertise in trend following. Something that is truly valuable is how much shows like this provide a lot of opportunities for ongoing learning and outside resources by introducing a variety of perspectives and approaches. It’s also quite helpful to hear how each fund performed in a given week when listening to the back catalog and in the present. One of the ways CTAs are hard to hold for many is that they’re very predictable and fairly correlated if you know what to look for but look bewildering to an outside investor used to only stocks and bonds. That’s where the fact that Neil’s has continued to paper trade his personal CTA strategy that’s got a 10-15 year history going back into live trading is invaluable because he provides a daily report on the website that lets you look behind the curtain of the performance drivers, both good and bad. The technical production quality is absolutely superb as well. The audio is clear and crisp throughout. Obviously guests’ quality may vary but insofar as it’s in the TTU realm, it’s top tier. Full disclosure, I do invest in the mutual funds for Dunn, LoCorr Commodities, Alpha Simplex Managed Futures, and KMLM.

I am very thankful to the creators of this podcast. It is a truly great forum for honest discussion on the nature of financial markets. I highly recommend to all students of finance.

I highly recommend the Top Traders Unplugged podcast. I found it a few months ago and have gone back and listened to all of the past episodes. It is extremely informative and the hosts give their honest opinions. I have gone from not knowing anything about systematic trend following, to wanting to do it myself, and finally realizing that I don't have the time or emotional fortitude to do it myself and that I will invest in a fund and leave it to the experts (only a portion of my funds for diversification - sorry Jerry!) :)

Niels is top notch as a moderator, the guests (both regular and special) are fantastic, and the breath & depth of topics (e.g., climate cycles, chip wars) is really informative. Well done!

It would be hard to put a price on all the information I’ve learned from Niels and his guests. The generosity is unbelievable, and all content is delivered in a calm, humble way. One truly incredible thing about this show is that anyone can email in their questions and have them answered by industry professionals on the show. Can’t recommend this podcast enough for anyone interested in systematic investing.

This is one of my two favourite financial podcasts, having listened to many - the other one being Rational Reminder. The hosts are kind, thoughtful and entertainingly informal. It is a unique opportunity to hear hours of conversation from some of the world experts when it comes to trend following. There is such a plethora of content hidden in the archives that it suffices as a starting point if one wants to implement their own trend following system. I’m looking forward to hearing all the contents they will continue to produce in future!

I liked this show before the addition of Cem Karsan, but since he’s onboard the dynamic has improved considerably. And credit to Neils that he has seamlessly integrated Cem. The way they hand off back and forth, respectfully and yet dynamically changing subjects will be a blueprint for podcast hosts in the future. Keep up the great work guys. Clearly more and more great guests will seek you out because of this dynamic platform you’ve created.

What an amazing show. Thank you to you, Niels, and your team for what you do. You always have such a wonderful array of guests and topics. I personally love the SI series but am also starting to get into GM. It’s so great to be able to hear Niels interview the leaders in the field. I learn so much every time and often I go back for another listen to pick up something I may have missed. I am really grateful that you do this and I hope you keep it up.

I’ve only been actively investing since the beginning of 2022. It’s been an unbelievably volatile time so far but listening to this podcast 2 or 3 times a week really helps settle the nerves. The hosts and guests are incredibly calm and help bring the listener back to remembering the longer time horizons.

I’m lucky to have found this show. Trend trader Jerry Parker, was on Market Huddle, and as a result I started following his Twitter where he recommended this show. All three sources are excellent and informative and help keep you from feeling isolated in your trading career. The host (and probable producer? ) Tim Pickering, has high production values and a great speaking voice. Reminds me of fond memories of late night BBC radio before the BBC started hiring people who sound like they have marbles in their mouth LOL.

At the end of the day, you invest to make money. You make money by prices going up. Trend following’s whole purpose is to create an algorithm to capture those returns. From the the time of the Tulip Mania or South Sea Bubble, one thing has been true - you make money when prices go up. This podcast is the only podcast, subscription video service or the like that actually gets into the weeds and answers REAL questions that we as traders have. Most others say they are transparent, but you have people who manage real institution (and now own PAs - Rich) telling you exactly how they do it. Find me another podcast that provides detailed answers (some times even multiple shows!) to questions such as…. “Do I trade the same parameters across markets or do I optimize for each market?” (Lol) “do I volatility adjust my position sizes?” “How many markets should I trade?” “What’s the difference between systematic global macro and trend following?” “Does trend following work on Bitcoin?” whether you’re doing this in your personal account or institutionally, or just passing through. This podcast gives you real insights into the process, they do not just pay lip service to it.

It’s very refreshing to experience content providers who are committed to excellence , and genuine concern for the listener. This podcast is a must listen on a weekly basis. It certainly is for me. I strongly endorse this!

At an Austrian bank in where I worked years ago, at the end of particularly eventful days, my colleagues and I would often gather at a favorite table at a favorite restaurant and recount the events of the recent days. This recounting over a good meal regularly led to insights and plans for going forward, and always led to a wonderful sense of camaraderie. That is the feeling I get when I listen to a podcast here. The colleagues here are professional, reflective and always considering what may come tomorrow.

I have never written a review for any podcast yet I have been listening to many of them just as most of you all who will read this have also and I must say- I am pleased to allot my first review to this podcast. On this podcast you will encounter only professionalism, you will become far more educated than you currently are (regardless of market experience or knowledge base, in my view), you will enjoy interviews with some very interesting people and take from them valuable lessons on life and it’s journey, and most of all you will enjoy your time invested in listening to it all. I am giving this podcast a 5 star rating without hesitation; I have been listening to it for a few years now.

I started learning trading about two years ago with the help of a relative who had been on your show as a guest. He told me about this podcast and I started listening. At first, I didn’t know any of the lingo or any of the content. Two years later and I have my first job in the field and listen to your podcast daily on the commute to work. There isn’t another podcast that is as easy to listen to (great communicators) with as much good content. Keep up the good work.

This podcast is not only very educational and practical but is also so easy to listen to. I am trying to learn trend-following and Niels and Jerry and the rest have been inspirational and a joy to listen to.
