    A delight
This is my favorite podcast. But also, fun for the hosts: Rod Serling’s Night Gallery’s fourth episode drops an absolutely lovely “milksop.” Do with this information what you will.

One of my favorite podcasts even though I'm vegan and already know everything about coming pasta
Wheatcakes! Loose screws! Obsessive PS Spider-Man game playing! All hail Steve Ditko, creator of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Brian and the other two put out a dang fine podcast. Sometimes I yell at them because they are so wrong. But sometimes they're funny and even occasionally right. I do object to their meat section because I am vegan. They should talk about Danbury and Outer Limits more.

Perfect blend of sibling banter and comic nerdery
I'm really happy I stumbled across this one. They do a great job of recapping issues of comics and have more than a passing knowledge of artists, writers, etc. More than I do, anyway, so I'm learning a ton. Very enjoyable and they're enabling my new found Marvel Unlimited habit. Keep it up!

    I mean I guess…
9 episodes in and It’s crazy how much I want to like this show and just can’t. How many times can you have the same exact conversation? Did you know Steve Ditko is good at drawing clothes?
  • Thehypnohustler
The only podcast with two brothers talking about comics?
In episode one it starts with one brother, then very quickly there is two brothers. Now, years later there is a third brother. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

    Loose Screws
Listening to these two meekish kind of comedian milk sops talk about comics is like betting everything you own on a talking horse who tells you he’s definitely winning the big race, only to lose and shrug his shoulders and tell you “I thought I would win”. Classic Comedy! Be amazed as they cover issues from 40 years ago, laugh as they discuss possibly covering issues from 20-30 years ago, groan at the thought of them someday covering all 137 issues of Mark Gruenwalds Captain America run, but most importantly fall in love as Jimmy Linguine regales you with Strange Tales and Tales of Suspense from his time at Americas Most Watched Network. Sure they make mistakes and get facts wrong. 5 stars.

All of the linguini! All of the comics!
Jimmy and Benny Linguini are the best pasta podcasters of this generation. You may listen for the comics, but I’m here for the latest pasta talk! We know that Marvel firsts are no good, you know what is good? Gluten free pasta!!! Come on boys, let’s touch on brown rice, chickpea, and quinoa. Plus the outrageous fact that gluten free Chef Boyardee doesn’t exist. As always, I’ll tune in next week to hear from my favorite noodle brains!

    This sauce is boss!
This podcast is my one stop shop for proper pasta preparation. These Italian stallions get past the meatballs and tomatoes to talk the deeper aspects of the art form. Though I was taken back when Will went on a 30 minute digression into ‘Cajun Alfredo’ and how the French, much less anyone not of Italian/Sicilian origin, should stay out of their territory. Regardless their recipe for pasta puttanesca makes a gabaghoul like myself want to kiss the chef because mama mia that’s amore.

Why waste your time sopping milk somewhere else!?
Screw It, We’re just going to talk about Comics is the first podcast I’ve listened to other than the murder porn I hear when in the car with my wife, and I have no need for any other podcast. As a lifelong comic character fan (didn’t read comics until I was an adult) I can’t get enough of the Milksops and their take on these monumental stories that have now transformed into the movies that have dominated pop-culture since the mid 2000s. Cannot recommend this podcast enough!

    Best pasta podcast ever!!
I've struggled my entire adult life to perfect spaghetti carbonara. Over and over I would fail to absolutely nail it. Sure it was edible, but it wasn't something I was really proud of... That is until I stumbled upon Kevin and Will!! These guys were able to break the process down step by step just as Steve Ditko intended when he originally created the dish years and years ago!! I can't wait to host my next pasta party now that these two milksops have given me the confidence to share my culinary creations with the world!! Thanks Kevin and Will, you guys are a godsend. Excelsior!!

Not What I Thought. But It’s a Really Good Podcast
When I first found this podcast, I was wondering if they did an episode about Mitch Hedberg. But then I learned this show isn’t about comics. Then the hosts introduced themselves as the Heinz brothers. And I thought, “Oh Cool!! This is a ketchup podcast!” I love ketchup! But it isn’t the Heinz brothers. It’s the Hines brothers. And it turned out this is a podcast about comic books, which I also like just not as much as ketchup. But as far as comic books, the Hines brothers do a really good job reviewing them in a detailed and humorous way. I really enjoyed many of the interview episodes.

    More linguini, less comics
Baffled as to how these two spend so much time talking about comics when there are so many varieties of pasta to fixate on. Bucatini, ziti, linguini, orrechiette, I mean the list practically writes itself
  • Benny_73
    Less linguini, more comics
I am glad that the milksop brothers have decided to tone down the pasta side of things (which I always thought was weird in the first place) and concentrate on the comics. They are always entertaining, funny and have a great love for the books they cover. I cannot image my weekly commute to work without listening to these guys.....plus wargames.

I learned something about brothers, but not ghost flies (yet)
I love this show about Jimmy Linguini and his brother, Benny Linguini. Let me tell you, these two brothers really know how to brother! They mostly talk about dudes running around in spandex or something (not sure, I fast forward during those parts) and how to make the perfect creamy cream for your pasta dishes that you want to make to impress your aging Hasidic mother-law (also not sure about this, I fast forward, a lot!). I do find it strange that they rarely talk about their brother, Lemmy Linguini, but I think it’s probably because they sacrificed him in an occult ritual in exchange for a rare Lee/Ditko Spedermen comic book. I do wish they would get back to me regarding the email I sent them asking if they believe whether flies go to heaven after they die or if they turn into ghost flies and are just like floaty invisible fly guys all over the dang place. I hope they will respond when they see this review. I need to know their thoughts. Anyway, listen to the show already!

    Comics and brothers and podcasts
I’m not a fan of podcasts where brothers talk, but luckily this is the only one… And it’s really good!
  • Dan Wars
Do you want to play a game?
I’m a big fan of these cowards, the show is great for comic fans and also fans of the seminal techno adventure thriller Wargames. Be warned, there’s more comic book content than Wargames content. Recommend!

    Jimmy the Milksop!
Jimmy Linguini doesn’t care what you do and worked for CBS!! Listen to these two milksop brothers (the only two brothers in human history) discuss your favorite comic book hero: JIMMY LINGUINI!!

    Journey Into Great Podcasting!
This podcast and these brothers capture the essence of what, for me, was the great fun of collecting and reading comics in the Eighties. That is, hangin out with your pals discussing the books, the quirks of the creators, the weird and wonderful stories, the great and terrible issues....the struggles of the characters, what you love and what you hate. At 48, it is hard to find this kind of witty, familiar, and enjoyable sort of camaraderie. Thank you, Will and Kevin, for this Amazing Fantasy of a podcast. Please keep going and keep discussing the format of the show!!!!!

    I love this podcast
I found this podcast after hearing Will on Comedy Bang bang. Started listening from the beginning and it has given me a ton of joy.

    A fun journey through comics
I really enjoy this show, whether I know the comics they’re talking about or not. Sometimes I’ll seek out a title they mention and enjoy it. My favorite part of the show is its set format that never changes. Keep up the great work, milksops!
  • Cwispy_Mann
Like the Condiment only Spelled Differently
My favorite weekly podcast hosted by two completely unrelated individuals living a countries distance apart. Their thorough and highly detailed breakdowns regarding the finer points of brick laying astound me. Keep up the good work

Them Milksop Boys are at it Again!
Two genial brothers discuss the comics they love, which are sometimes the comics I love, and sometimes the comics I have yet to love. I love it. Oh by the way Will, Twist and Shout is the worst Beatles song of all time (sorry)!
  • Ben.Forrest
A lot of fun and very well organized.
This is a highly enjoyable podcast and you can tell a lot of effort is put into producing it. Well worth listening to. I’m glad they’ve started doing DC books as well.
  • FLYING GOAT.
It’s cool to hear people so passionate about something
    Great podcast

    Will is hot
As a girl growing up I felt forbidden from boy’s club of comics. Thankfully things are changing. Gentle voices summarizing comics page by page. So good! Who knew? P.S. not to be a creep but I have a crush on Will Hines
  • DigsyMadrox
How did you make me interested in the Fantastic Four?
Geez, Kevin and Will, you did the impossible: you made me want to read old issues of Fantastic Four. I've never cared about them before, but hearing y'all talk about them with such enthusiasm has me sold. Only listen to this podcast if you like discovering great new comics to get into!
  • Nav9
Loved it since the Ditko Spider-Man episodes
The FF was fun but not my favorite material so it’s hard to get into it and admittedly the issues were uneven in quality. When the material is good there enthusiasm is amazing. The bonus WATCHMEN Episode is just wonderful.

    Reintroduction
These cohosting brothers are a treat. There silly banter is enjoyable and give me the chuckles. Their Spider-Man run helped me go from casually knowing bits of the character/writers/history, to now knowing so much more and I am able to appreciate Spider-Man that much more as well. The new comics brand is excellent for me as well because I haven’t known anything about the Fantastic Four and I look forward to every episode these guys do on any other great characters/stories. Keep doing them please and thank you.
  • mqs2019
Just pick a format, stick to it, and stop explaining it
At least 40% of this podcast is discussing and rehashing the format of the show. And then recapping both the prior formats and the then-current format at the top of each episode. (Otherwise I like these dudes.)

The “I don’t care” drinking game
Here is a good drinking game. Every time Jimmy Linguine says the following, take one shot: I don’t know I don’t care Do what you want I used to work for CBSI pump and dump it doesn’t matter to me SHUT UP KOI, YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT Pro-level: Drink continuously from a pitcher of beer whenever the podcast grounds to a halt while the hosts look up something on their smart phones.

    AMAZING and FANTASTIC!!
You guys rock. I thoroughly enjoyed the screw it Spidey run and could not have been happier to see you guys decide to continue with Fantastic Four and more. I have been a huge Spiderman fan for the majority of my life and only read the first issue of Spiderman until your podcast. After hearing a what you guys said about the original run of FF I had to go read it and now you guys are going through it. So happy and excited. Your banter reminds me so much of my brothers and myself and so many things hit home with your podcast. Glad to have you guys back for another season and hope to be a long time listener!! Excelsior! -Wes

Making Sense of the Early Spidey Nuff Said!
The best way to get in touch with the stories and art that made Spider-Man the Silver Age “ Superhero “ that changed the business - Thank you my brothers!
  • Speichers in China
Great that’s all I want to hear about
Please don’t stop when Ditko stops. I need you to compare Romita and Ditko. This podcast is so good. I love when they talk about the anatomy of characters. If you 60’s marvel comic art this is your podcast.
  • HouseofDudley
    Love these guys!!!
I feel like this podcast was made just for me. With all the buzz and excitement that the Disney/Marvel movies produce it’s nice that these brothers go back to the source material. They dissect each Stan Lee Steve Ditko issue much like they are studying for an exam. Thank you for all the hard work and fun you put into this podcast. I eagerly await the next one and this has quickly become my favorite podcast of the week. I really hope you go past issue 40.
  • ESfan
    Amazing!
Great show, awesome hosts and amazing subject. 800+ issues, don’t stop at 41!
  • ChuteShark
It shouldn’t be as good as it is.
Will and Kevin can manage two, usually antithetical, styles: Being concise and nuanced. So, yeah. Why are you reading reviews for a free podcast anyway? Just listen to an episode.
  • Spider-Maj
    I love this podcast!!
If you love the original run of Spider-Man comics as much as I do, this podcast is truly a gift. It is simple and satisfying. Will and Kevin are genuinely funny together and their shared love of these stories paired with their sharp wit makes this show a must for hardcore and casual Spidey fans alike. Good hosts=good show. Kevin and Will have great voices, great timing, and the implicit history they share as brothers adds it's own subliminal story to what you are hearing. What is great about the show is the hosts' deep reverence for these stories while being fully aware these books were never intended for such deep analysis. The fascinating thing is that there is so very much to find in these colorful pages drawn for children and young adults half a century ago...

    Real Spider-Man!
Finally! An exploration into the REAL Spider-Man! Bringing it back to where it all began! Thanks brothers Hines!
  • BQ15
    Awesome
I love hearing about how much Spider-Man and Peter Parker played a role in the lives of the hosts. Anyone who's a fan of the ol' web-slinger will relate. The detail and thought put in to the breakdown of each frame is interesting and a more fun analysis than you would typically come across when reading or listening to discussion of comic book characters. Great job!

Two Great Hosts. One Great Topic
The Webhead means a lot to me and he clearly means a lot to the Hines brothers. Looking forward to taking this journey with them.

My Reason to FINALLY read the original SPIDER-MAN comics
Having been a comic book fan for most of my life, it is a bit of a shame that I have never read the original Spider-man comics by Lee and Ditko but this is going to be fun way to finally rad the classics for the most iconic Marvel hero. The hosts are passionate, articulate and well read brothers that make this podcast, even though only an intro episode in, highly entertaining and fun to listen to. Spidey-sense says this is going to be a great time listening and reading along with!
