I wrote a review before but turns out I just don’t know how this app works lol. It’s a great show, they’re very respectful of the people they talk about other than the killers but it’s in a tasteful way. Very funny and great to listen to while going about your day!

I love the reviews portions if the show and then i came here and read the one star ratings and i don’t know if those people know exactly what they did but the layering up to add some laughs by giving a ridiculous review on a show that reads ridiculous reviews is very meta.

Very funny hosts! Great comical twists to light the otherwise dark and sometimes very disturbing genre of true crime. Great humor throughout the episodes, but make sure to listen to the shoutouts at the end of all of the full length episodes. Jimmy stumbling over the pronunciation of names ends up being some of the most entertaining material of the episodes, in my opinion.

This show just gets better with time

Not a fan of the “comedy” narrative of the show. I worked and lived in Morenci for a few years, and the picture they paint of this town is so far off from the truth. I also worked with Matthew, so hearing the way they joked about a story that was tragic was offsetting.

Your episode from 04/03/24 taking place in wheeling, WV just wanted to comment that I was locked up with the female from that episode. It’s crazy hearing about the crime through the lens of researchers and investigators compared to hearing it be told by one of the actual suspects.

I work in cannabis and 420 has lost a little of its magic over the years. I spent weeks prepping and then all hands on deck the week of. Then we spend weeks trying to forget about it - similar to the holidays with your family you know? Like it’s fun… until it’s not. I completely forgot about the live show and my faith in 420 has now been restored. This is exactly what I needed, costumes are epic, we should do this quarterly at least. Thank you guys, huge fan!!

If you can get past the extremely cheesy intro, disclaimer, and the 90s shock jock DJ modulated voice with Pietrogallo…this is a highly entertaining show and I love it. The stories are insane and I don’t know anywhere else you get them. However, if you are looking for actual jokes, this isn’t your thing. Timesuck is the best for that. I listen to both of them religiously.

Small Town Murder is a unique podcast that explores murders that happened in small towns across the USA. I love the structure of the show, and James and Jimmy’s hilarious commentary. Together, it makes for an easy to follow story that always leaves you wanting more. The best part of the show is James and Jimmy’s genuine commitment to the show’s supporters.

I love STM!! I listen everyday at work, and it makes my workday 1000 time more tolerable!

This is it folks. This right here is the worst podcast I have ever had the opportunity to waste my time on. A couple of blow hards that like to hear themselves speak about nothing. This is the one. I spent 33 minutes on a podcast and they never even started talking about the case. Super disrespectful to the town it was based in and made fun of the type of people that must have lived there. 0/10. Don’t waste your time. I’d rather listen to paint dry.

Really enjoy the podcast I end up laughing, but in the best way and hearing true crime murder stories, which I love! I love both of the guys sense of humor. I’m actually gonna go and order the live show they did on 4/20 to watch.

This is my “go to” podcast!

The condescending attitude of these hosts while they read the wiki notes or other people’s research about each town is off putting. All it took was listening to an episode about a town I’ve lived in to realize they know NOTHING about the towns then are talking about, they can’t pronounce it, they don’t know what the people do, they make up stuff that isn’t true about the town at all.

I’ve been listening to this and C.I.S since the beginning and once caught up I’ve gone back and listened to the episodes all over again. The support has gained James health insurance, yaaaay! Great show, worth a listen if curious but know what you’re getting into.

I could look up the demographic details of the small towns without their condescending remarks. The storylines are discussed with no research other than a quick and easy google search. Save the time it takes to listen to them and do a quick 5 minute read via google.

Great way to get through the day when you drive 400+ miles a day. Not a comedic show like Fluffy or George Lopez, but definitely a comedic duo in other ways.

Jimmie and James (I call them the Jimmy’s in my head tbh) will take your morbid curiosity seriously, but let’s be honest true crime will genuinely give you horror brain rot. The jokes mixed in of “how could this happen” with the REALITY of “how could this happen” is just enough to see the evil of humans and also appreciate the lives of the person who was victimized. Small Town Murder has, to me, given me a much larger view of humanity as a whole, and also shoutout to the Real Estate Reports. I have been listening for over a year, about eight hours a day, (not including Your Stupid Opinions or Crime In Sports) and am STILL not out of jokes or entertainment. 100/10 podcast if you’re not into the weird Netfilixation of brutal murders, but also want to end it light hearted without a thousand pound belly ache. LISTEN TO THEM YOU WILL NOT REGRET

I listen to a LOT of true crime, and Small Town Murder does it best. It’s thoroughly researched with cases I’ve never heard of and best of all it’s really funny without being disrespectful. I also love Jimmy and James’s relationship. They make great hosts. Once I finishing listening to all the episodes I’ll probably start all over again!

I love listening to this while I am cleaning etc. one day I took a break and sat on the couch by my husband while I was listening on my AirPods. I was giggling and he mouthed “what are you listening to?” And I yelled “haha! MURDER!” The look on his face only added to my enjoyment 😂

I now have my husband listening too and you guys are a riot!

My favorite true crime podcast. These 2 guys have a unique show and are hilarious yet respectful. They are down to earth and I love the way they give lots of details. Keep it up guys!!!
