I love the narrator’s calm and soothing voice, which helps me relax and get ready for bed. This show highlights many lesser known unsolved cases spanning decades , in a concise and informative manner. No obnoxious banter or inappropriate comedic commentary ~ simply the facts, told in a very respectful and compassionate way. I really enjoy it, and although I’m not from Texas, I am hopeful that as this podcast continues to shine the spotlight on these victims- there’s a chance that they may be able to finally be solved one day.

This podcast clearly uses AI to read the trasncript of the show. The inhuman monotonous drone of the voice makes my brain hurt. Absolutely unable to listen

Gone Cold was the first podcast I ever listened to and I was instantly hooked! I always recommend it to fellow true crime podcast fans - please keep recording and I promise to be here listening!

Interesting choice of cases. The host’s presentation (accent and writing) transports the listener to Texas. A 5 is well deserved. These episodes are atmospheric and well written. I’ve planned to review this podcast for a while. Well done!

I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now. I enjoy how much each case is researched and as many episodes as a story takes, it gets. As a native Texan, the narrator’s voice has a familiar accent and cadence. Definitely feels like stories you’d hear on a porch, as the sun sets and the darkness creeps closer. Each victim is treated with respect, each potential suspect is treated with the contempt they may deserve. I’ll keep coming back for Gone Cold, as long as episodes are released.

The stories are great and I enjoy hearing about cases in Texas because I live here. But I can not stand the “host’s” monotone, blunted affect! It’s like nails on the chalkboard. Please reconsider the host to allow this podcast to grow!!

He intentionally parrots disinformation. He continues to spread lies about Stacey Stites that have been proven untrue. Don't believe anything this guy claims. He also lets his idiotic political views bias his presentation. The typical woke lies plus the silly voice is too much.

I like the story and details of the cases, however I cannot stand the sound,tone, and pace of his voice it's just horrible. I can't listen anymore . Either read the story yourself or hire a live person to do it. This podcast has potential to take off and grow but not using an AI voice.

His voice is such a turn off. Dragging out the last word of every sentence and thefact it’s cute his regular speaking voice. Just speak normally. All this work on research and so many of us can’t listen. Oh my gosh it’s terrible.

The guys voice sounds like AI and it’s really annoying.

There is such detail every week and the presenter is so interesting to listen to. Texas has always seemed like a mess to me and I’m not dissuaded from that opinion by the stories here. Wish more of them were solved. But I listen every week.

The write up and storytelling is great. I just can’t get over the voice. I feel like I am listening to Siri reading me a text message that has come in. It’s really a shame, because I like to the point and informational true crime podcasts. I’m just not sure how someone can sit for 30+ minutes and listen to the monotonous, robotic voice.

The entire podcast sounds like it’s a recording from a text-to-speech app.

As someone who has only been to tx once I adore the demographic info and all the ancillary facts given…it truly helps set up socioeconomic climate and show any racial tensions, relevant geography, etc. It’s probably what keeps me coming back to this show even when I’m tired of true crime.

Thank you for sharing Jared’s story. One observation…simply serving does not make one a Veteran. Serving in war time does.

I have been listening to Gone Cold for 3 years now and enjoy the podcast. The episodes are well written and researched. Very entertaining and educational at the same time. I highly recommend Gone Cold to anyone who enjoys true crime.

Well researched, interesting topics, but the narration is excruciatingly stiff and halting. I listen at 1.25x speed just to be able to stay focused, but the excessive pauses and exaggerated enunciation are hard to ignore. Sometimes he says “PARRR-tick-yu-lar-lee” five times in an episode. I saw him in a TV interview once and he talked like a normal person, so we know it’s possible! Also, a lot of people are calling the narration “monotone,” but it’s not. He does modulate his voice somewhat. It’s the unnatural pacing and affected lack of fluency that make it so jarring for humans to listen to.

I love the podcast but the narrator is so robotic I just can’t concentrate on what he’s saying. Wish he spoke more normally :/

I am really loving this pod cast. I feel so terrible for the families of these victims, and I think it is phenomenal what y’all are doing. I am a North Texan and I love hearing all of the details, and the history of different parts of the metroplex. Keep it up!

This is by far the best true crime podcast available. Vincent is an excellent host. His thoughtful research and concern for the families is wonderful. And I absolutely love the way he presents historical information for each location. I’ve learned so much that I wouldn’t have otherwise known. Vincent is also very active in the community to help continue to raise awareness for these victims and keep their stories in the public eye. He truly goes above and beyond to make a difference.

Love the concept, theme, production, cases everything else, but there’s WAY too much town/city/history information before the story even starts. I get trying to cover all bases or give listeners a feel for the area, but I skip EVERY episode to the beginning of the actual true crime story. Please try and remember that it’s just too much filler and get on with the story.
