This podcast seems awesome and like it has a lot of useful, insightful things. I wish you would put more about the topics of the episode in the title of each episode rather than just have it as a random name that I may or may not know. I’ve had to go through and read every description in order to figure out if it’s content I want to focus on with my podcast time on that day or not. Just thought that might be more helpful!

The latest episode with Candice Motely was so relatable on so many levels! I love the idea of a one night stand stylist!

As a salon manager, this podcast has been more helpful than any other “mentorship” podcast. It’s relieving to hear everyone relate to the feeling of not knowing what the heck we are doing and figuring it out as time goes on!! I’ve gotten so many great ideas from listening to all these salon owners. The relatability in each episode is amazing. haha. I have recently discovered this podcast and have truly enjoyed listening like I am amongst friends and people who understand my journey. I recently celebrated 16 years of salon ownership and I wish I could say it was getting easier but every year seems to bring new challenges to overcome, places to pivot and new innovations to implement. I work harder than I ever have and I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. Will I keep doing this forever? Can I ever stop?? Is it all worth it?? Looking for answers always. Anyway thanks for having this place for me to come and listen.

I’m Candi and I own Morph Hair Studio in Tarpon Springs Florida. I cannot say enough about this podcast and this series on salon owners. I’m a hairstylist of over 20 years and salon owner of 6 years. I’ve spent the last 5 years becoming more business confident. Listening to other salon owners honestly has kept me inspired not feeling alone. I opened my salon right before Covid then got shut down and it’s been incredibly hard keeping it up and going but I refuse to give up and I have an amazing team. Our salon is doing well but there is always room for growth. We are a teaching salon and figuring out our structure has been a struggle until I came across your podcast. Thank you so much for putting this out. Hopefully someday I can actually set and chat with you. This has helped keep my head in the game. I’m a huge Gina fan.Not only do I feel like I relate with her a lot on a personal level, I see a lot of myself in her as a person & stylist. I feel like she is one of the realest educators in the industry right now. I have even asked her advice on Instagram once when I was dealing with a terrible / scary client and she replied back within an hour. Her advice is so on point and I appreciate how she opens up about herself & her story along the way. She is the one who has inspired me to start to move toward hourly pricing! This podcast/Gina is amazing. But as a listener, the background music during the interviews is just so distracting and unnecessary. It makes me feel like I can’t get 100% excited to listen to this podcast. And I can hear the guest but I can never hear Gina as well, I just feel like some serious sound editing needs to happen for me to feel like “HECK YEAH 5 STARS”. But again, aside from that, amazing!

I wish that I could go back to “my” career beginnings, and know what I know because of professionals like you. A year of covid may have stopped me for 24 weeks in a California salon, but I have grown more as a STYLIST in this year because of the opportunity that the great ones like you have truly used their talents to ELEVATE the industry. This is the first review I’ve ever written, and it’s only because ITS SO IMPORTANT people listen to this podcast. Usually, only true crime/Mordor podcasts can keep my attention on them. I get so bored. I’ve been a stylist for 16 years, and am accomplished, fully booked- six figure stylist and let me tell ya, ive learned more from Gina in these podcasts than I’ve learned in ALL the classes I’ve taken so far (not hers, obviously but that’s coming soon!) Gina now only teaches, but she will motivate you like crazy. Feel burnt out- listen to it. Need help running your business? Listen to it. Just listen. You will take away SO MUCH from it!!
