Preparing for birth can be overwhelming and many stories surrounding birth are scary. But the truth is, Birth is a NORMAL, NATURAL, and BEAUTIFUL event. This Built To Birth Podcast exists to share Mama's TRUE and POSITIVE birth stores to remind and inspire Mamas that they are BUILT TO BIRTH! I'm Bridget and I'm a childbirth educator, doula, and fellow mama and it's my passion to help women discover their strength and power in pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. Enjoyed listening except for…
I enjoyed this podcast and benefitted from hearing others birth stories as a FTM due in December. My only piece of feedback is that the host’s active listening “hmm”s in the background were extremely distracting.

    Tess’ birth story
I just want to thank you and Tess for the encouragement at the end of the story. I am currently 40+5 with my first and impending an induction at a hospital with my OB in 4 days. My plan was to go unmedicated, go into spontaneous labor and labor at home as long as possible but my OB insists on inducing. Being so heartbroken and feel that all of my homework and research over the last few months has gone to waste, it was great to hear the great message at the end. I am a wreck! Feeling frustrated with my body (my cervix is poster and hasn’t budged) even after doing all the things to try and prep my cervix over the last 11 weeks, it was so great to hear this it is ok to not be ok! So many emotions rolling through my head and feeling the pressure from my OB and feeling not listened to is hard! I want to thank you and your podcast for helping me feel positive and encouraged to keep my head up.

    Love these!!
I listened to these the same week that I went into labor with my first baby and they brought me so much encouragement as I went into my first labor without an epidural. There’s so much power in words and my confidence and courage to birth grew so much just hearing these stories! Thank you Bridget for collecting these beautiful stories🤍

    LOVE HER
I absolutely love her passion for helping, teaching and giving women the space to process what they’re going and will go through. I watched her videos on repeat before my first baby and am doing the same with her podcast as I prepare for my 2nd!

    Game changer
First off, I can’t believe anyone would rate this less than 5 stars. Coming across this kind of content as free information is a true blessing. I’ve learned more from listening to Bridget (first on YouTube) and her guests on this podcasts than I have from ANYONE in my circle of friends and family and care providers. I feel so fortunate to of come across her channel, as a first time mom in my third trimester it has shifted my perspective about labor and birth into such a positive direction. You can tell Bridget truly has the purest intentions of informing and comforting mamas, and getting to hear these positive stories is just even more uplifting. So incredibly thankful for everything that she puts out there for us to benefit from!

    Love Bridget!
Love Bridget and the positivity she is sharing around birth. I had a wonderful birth with my first daughter and loved the resources from Bridget. I just found out I’m expecting twins and I’d love if you could share more on natural twin pregnancies and birth??

    Changed my outlook
I loooove listening to these beautiful birth stories! I am an expecting first time mother and was originally planning on having a scheduled c-section from fear of a painfully long vaginal delivery. I’ve recently gotten into hynobirthing and then found the Built to Birth Instagram and podcast. I began to believe that maybe I can deliver my baby naturally to knowing that I am a capable and strong woman who is built to birth.💪🏻Thank you Bridget for helping women like me.💖

    So encouraging!
Bridget is just amazing! I am pregnant with my second child and am being very intentional about the information I learn this time around! Her YouTube channel led me to this podcast and I just love hearing all of these POSITIVE birth stories. They truly are empowering and so enjoyable to listen to! And Bridget has such a calm presence about her, always encouraging these Mama’s in the decisions they made and where to go from there. Can’t recommend her podcast and YouTube channel enough!

    Essential for Mamas!
Bridget is amazing! I found her through her YouTube channel, signed up for her built to birth class and I have been loving her podcast! These inspiring, real, and positive birth stories are essential for mamas to get in the right headspace. I recommend her content to everyone I know that is expecting!

    THE BEST HANDS DOWN
I first found Bridget on YouTube and then figured out SHE HAS A PODCAST TOO 😱 I’m pregnant with our first baby and those FTM jitters are REAL. And we’re planning a homebirth so that kinda added to the nerves and stress. But all these stories are so so beautiful and so calming, I’ve listened to every single one! I’m not scared of my birth anymore and I would recommend this to every single expecting mama without a doubt. These are the kind of stories you need to surround yourself with in this beautiful season of pregnancy and motherhood 💕

    Almost perfect!
Love the content (especially as I’m about to go through labor for my first time) but the host does this interesting humming sound (I think it’s meant to be a “validating,” soothing sound, almost as if to say, “I understand,” but with a sound) soooo frequently that I almost turned off the podcast. The sound was so consistent, and quite distracting. If the host could just let the speaker speak without doing that humming sound this could very well be my favorite podcast. I’m sorry to say this and hope it doesn’t hurt feelings. Other than that, I’m so grateful for the stories and information discussed. Thank you!

    So Thankful
I’m so appreciative for you!! Your videos helped me through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I wanted a natural birth and I was able to have that! I had such a positive experience and now I’m 8months pp and feeling so good! Now that I’ve birthed natural in a hospital, I’m hoping for a home birth for our next baby🥰🥰love you and thank you for empowering new mamas and mamas who have had traumatic birth experiences.

The podcast all 1st time mom’s need!
So happy I stumbled upon Bridget’s podcast. Just hit second trimester today and I already feel way more confident in the birth process and most importantly what I am capable of. This podcast is a must for all moms to help calm and educate themselves before birth. Thank you Bridget!

    First time mom
I’m expecting my first baby in early July. I’ve been listening to these birth stories as I go for my daily walks and it has been uplifting and empowering to hear so many different birth stories. I can actually say I look forward to my own birth story, whatever it may be, whereas a few months ago I would have said I’m a bit fearful. Thanks for putting these together and gathering up stories that need to be shared!

Filling my mind with positive birth stories
I am pregnant with my second little one and my first birth story was a home birth that needed to transfer to the hospital. I know what kind of birth at home I want with my second baby and I am so happy to have found this podcast through Bridgets YouTube channel. I already listened to Daesha’s home birth story and I loved hearing it. I believe that whatever I fill my mind with will come to fruition. So I plan on listening to as many successful home birth stories as possible until our next baby is here. So happy to have found this podcast and loved the first story so far. I hope this podcast can spread more and more good vibes and positive mindsets around birth and home births. -Madelyn

    Positive and Empowering!
I’ve been following Built to Birth on Instagram and watching all the amazing videos on YouTube...but I ❤️ it that now she is sharing birth stories via this podcast!! It is so incredibly empowering to get a peek in at what it’s really like to give birth and to hear affirmations from real moms about how they were able to be confident in their own body’s ability to deliver life into this world. LOVE 💗

So excited for this new addition!
I found Bridget’s YouTube channel just a few weeks ago as I am enrolled in a doula course come this summer but I am also pregnant with babe #2 and looking for a different birthing experience this go around. She has a very nurturing presence and I love listening to other POSITIVE birth stories, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. I’m looking forward to hearing more episodes!
