    Love this Podcast!!
By far, my most favorite podcast in my saved list. A good variety of so many interesting topics on all things royal.

    History with a soothing voice
Lindsay is the best! I started off with her YouTube videos and now listen to her podcast. It honestly feels like learning about history from your favorite, cozy aunt.

From YouTube to podcasts ❤️ I love every second.

Couldn’t make it through one episode
Reading aloud in a sing-song voice is not my idea of a good podcast host.
  • Kevinr5
Look forward to it every week
    Love it

The voice and lack of transitions
Like others, I wanted to like this podcast. The voice is beyond difficult to listen to. Also, the lack of proper transitions between time periods, locations, and royals means every topic switch, listeners have to be a detective to figure out she is now talking about a new ruler. It is easy to add a transition to prompt listeners the subject is now switching.

    Awesome podcast!
I’ve been a watcher of Lindsay’s YouTube channel and a listener of her podcast for a long while now, and I enjoy every upload of both!

    Voice
Too bad because the topics are great but the voice is unbearable . It’s like she does it on purpose.

    Amazing!
An easy listen and every episode is so well researched.

Get a new host and I may listen. Sorry but podcaster is cringe worthy

    Voice is annoying
Was so excited to listen to this podcast, figured when I heard her promote it on other podcasts that she was pretending to be annoying for attention. But no, I can’t bear her condescending tone and pronouncements.

    Calming voice
Super good topics I love your voice 💗

    Interesting topics
I so wanted to love this podcast. It was advertised on another history podcast I listen to. The topics seemed interesting. I can’t bear to listen. The readers cadence is so annoying. I’m so sorry because it seems well researched and interesting.

    Interesting content. Very annoying voice.
I enjoy the content of this podcast, but the way Lindsay speaks is so grating. It’s like a valley girl hosting a children’s show.
  • Overdear Boys
    Voice!!!
Can’t handle how she speaks. Sounds like she’s forcing to be proper & she’s speaking to kids. Some parts sounded fine. Will give another try but not till I think she might sound like a normal person talking to adults.

Can’t Get Past the Annoying Voice
I love history, especially the look at history to get the facts straight without the spin, but I couldn’t make it 3 minutes listening to this podcast. The voice of the podcaster is atrocious as to how the accent (or whatever it’s called) at the ending of sentences. It reminds me of the movie clip from Loudermilk and Ron Livingston’s character having to deal with the annoying voice of the barista. If I didn’t know it, Lindsay must be the actress in that scene. Learn to talk without sounding like a teenage brat or a rich girl who doesn’t give a crap.

    The Romanov Daughters
Such a great show. It made me laugh and it made me sad. I really enjoyed this show, very well researched. The details were great, a lot I wasn’t aware of. Looking forward to more shows.

    A true national treasure
Now I can binge Lindsey Holiday on YouTube and via podcasts! I think we can all agree that Lindsey Holiday is a national treasure!

    Thrilled there’s a podcast!!
I’ve been listening to History Tea Time YouTube videos while doing my housework. I am ecstatic to find the podcast so now I can take it with me in the car! Good information, such a great speaking tone & cadence, & sticks to the topic. No random 10 minute conversation about what hosts and/or guests did last week at a party that was only funny if you were there (yes it’s an oddly specific beef with podcasts but STILL). A wide variety of topics, not just limited to the US and/or Western Europe.

    Queens episode
Apart from the voice, at this day and age I would expect a bit of care taken in the pronunciation of the names. Most egregious is the accent on the wrong syllable of the Medici family name. Actually Aphra Ben was equally atrocious, if not more so. It’s an English name, for god’s sake!
  • vAsOunder
    Narration 👎🏼
This could be a great podcast however the sing-song narration is aweful.
  • AIG1993
    Inaccurate
The overall podcast is entertaining and well done but the author needs to work on her pronunciation of Turkish, Arabic, and Persian names and words. It is very jarring to hear names and proper nouns mispronounced over and over again throughout an episode. Importantly, the author is not sharing up to date information. In the Sultanate episodes, 1/3, she shares that Ibrahim marries Hatice, Sultan Suleiman’s sister. This was disproven over 10 years ago by historian Ebru Turan. Finally, if the author has crossover topics between one episode and another, she repeats word for word what was said in the initial episode instead of saying something new or different in the next one. Oh and the author left a review of her own podcast to try and get her stars up.

    Worst voice in podcasting
The voice of this podcaster is the worst. She speaks in a childlike song-song rather than someone addressing adults. Her voice is monotone at a horrible high pitch. The clipped sentences and odd pauses make it difficult to listen to.
  • squirreltooth
    Halfbaked
These are pretty lazily thrown together from her YouTube videos, with almost no regard to editing out, say, a reference to a painting we can’t see or repetition of info when several episodes are stitched together. A little more care would go a long way.
  • Cchtissy
    Amazing!
I love this podcast! The information is accurate, and her voice and cadence are very soothing-I’ve even started listening to her when I can’t sleep.

    Amazing

    History tea time 5 star
This is the best podcast I have ever listened to Lindsay helps me understand sooo much and I’m 11 I love how she talks about a lot of women’s history because my history teacher is only talking about men. She teaches about stuff I never know and don’t know my favorite is about Nzinga the African queen Thx sooo much Lindsay holiday (I think you have the best name)
  • kill3rmom
    Horrible!
The voice. I can’t handle it anymore. She’s invading my FAVORITE pods and I’m now getting past frustrated. That voice is worse than nails on a chalkboard. Please stop.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely LOVE this podcast. I don’t remember how I found you, think it was on the History Daily Podcast..maybe, but I’m so glad I did. I’ve always been interested in the royals but not enough to look into it myself. Your Podcast has answered so many questions I’ve wondered about them over the years. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. 5⭐️’s because it won’t let me give you 10!! Most definitely recommend!! Keep up the fantastic work!!

    A Tough Listen
The information shared would have probably been okay, but the host’s voice holds an unnatural cadence and is distracting.
  • CyndeRose
I wanted to love this podcast…
I was a viewer of the YouTube channel, and was hoping that this would be a more in-depth format, she did advertise as “updated versions of the channel”, however, this is just the video from her channel, with constant references to where a painting or photo was being talked about on YouTube Podcasts published after September of 2022 still mentioned Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.
  • cjl2441
    Poor Katrina Longworth imitation
I’ve only ever heard ads for this podcast but aside from the poor imitation of Katrina Longworth, this podcast sounds dreadful.
  • arrrrrrrghh!
    I can’t
1 out of ever 10 syllables sounds like a creaking floorboard. While I get that there is a market for “history” podcasts like this one—that don’t make you think, yet give you the illusion of learning something—the content is just too trivial/inconsequential to justify subjecting yourself to the unprofessional vocal delivery.

    Royal secrets uncovered!
Very interesting facts, presented in an enjoyable manner 🙂

    Nails On A Chalkboard
It’s bad enough that the host has a voice best suited for mimework, but that would have been fine if it has been contained to her own podcast. The fact that her screechy tones are now invading actual podcasts I listen to is just torture.
