    Zone of Interest
This episode is among the best of this series so far. It helped explain WHY I felt discomfort watching this film. Many scenes were devastating even though there was no actual action onscreen.

    Pay no mind to haters
This is a very good podcast. It is easy to see connection between the authoritarian-elect in the US and the Third Reich. Losers don’t want to hear truth.

    An Incredible Journey!
This Podcast is one of the greatest investments of my time and it would be for you also. The Holocaust History Podcast content is rich with historical context that you didn’t even realize was there. There are areas that need to be revealed and it does just that. Waitman goes far beyond the typical topics about the Holocaust. I have learned so much. His guests are remarkable resources that are passionate about their specific Holocaust areas of study and expertise. Waitman is extremely intelligent and knows so much himself, yet he honorably and respectfully allows his guests to lead the way. His questions are well thought out and he has read the books and knows the topics himself so that really lends to a comprehensive dialogue about the subject. The Holocaust victims and their families deserve a Podcast like this that sheds light on every area, asks the hard questions, and has people invested in it that have given their life’s work to educating our world. Waitman, thank you for your courage to take on these difficult topics. Also, thank you for the book list in the show notes, very kind to keep that list going! This Podcast is a must-listen!!!

    Enough with the liberal propaganda!
I enjoy the holocaust information. I do not enjoy hearing you and your guest slam our president-elect, his cabinet choices, MAGA, etc etc etc. If you do not love our country, there are plenty of socialist/communist countries where you and your loony friends can relocate.

Smart, Respectful, Chockfull of New Info
This podcast is full of information that most of us don’t know about the Holocaust. Not just historical facts, but the background about why things happened, the social, economic and other factors that led to the Holocaust as well as how it impacted people while it was happening. The impacts on our world now are discussed as well, with nuance. I appreciate Waitman’s solid questions for guests, and the expertise of those that he hosts.

    Illuminating, Well Done
I so appreciate this podcast and its approach. The host allows guests to talk without interrupting them, but also adds to the conversation appropriately. Though the subject matter is very difficult, I am very grateful for the creation of this excellent resource. I’ve listened to several of the episodes already and plan on listening to more over the coming weeks as I prepare for a trip to Germany and Poland.

    Wide ranging, illuminating
Beorn brings top guests with a variety of perspectives. Sensitive antidote to the simplistic views of a subjects people think they know about. Silver bullet for deniers!

Real History, Real Expertise, Real Interesting
Waitman Wade Beorn’s podcast is real public scholarship in history, delivered in accessible language. The conversation is serious and substantive, and treats the (admittedly grim) material with the gravity it deserves. The podcast is engrossing and appeals to anyone who wants to know more about the Holocaust, and how professional historians think about history. It’s rare to have a real expert in an academic field converse with other experts about a subject in a way that’s accessible but not dumbed down. It’s also painfully relevant at this moment in time—I would have paid closer attention in Professor Bridenthal’s class on Modern Germany many years ago if I’d known that a working knowledge of National Socialism was going to be necessary to navigate U.S. politics in 2024. This isn’t a pitch to eat your intellectual vegetables, though: if learning history is your jam, this show is for you.

    Tough subject but well done
Dr Beorn and his guest do a great job explaining different aspects of The Holocaust. It’s definitely not an easy subject to hear about but it’s so important and thankful for the podcast.
