One day, not too long ago, I listened to Big Keith’s interview with Lori Vallow. Moved by how aggressively annoying she was in that interview, and needing company in my misery, I googled “wow lori vallow is so annoying dateline Keith Morrison,” and the SEO gods delivered me to A Date with Dateline’s IG reel podcast snippet. I am now in full binge mode, and am sooo happy these ladies have done this good work for so long. Nowadays, a lot of pods have a very artificial rapport that’s heavily scripted between hosts, or hosts feel the need to really force their laughter or reactions or whatever; Kimberly and Katie have the comfortable rapport of real friends who love watching and talking about Dateline. They are respectful, they are sharp, and they are so smooth at ad lead-ins that I often don’t realize I’m listening to an ad until I’m in the middle of it. Keep going, gals, you are so fun to listen to.

I love that these ladies reference a lot of 80s and 90s pop culture. I am born in 80, so it’s just like listening to my friends talk about something I love. I love that I can listen to this in the car with my 7 y/o. They are explicit and they are very funny. I feel like they get me. I have been following these ladies since 2018 and I have not come across any other podcast that surpasses them. Please never stop podcasting, I love the merch and can’t wait to contribute via patreon. Thanks ladies keep on keepin’ on. I LOVE your rabbit holes! LOL

I really enjoy this show. I appreciate that it is funny, but not funny in a cruel way considering the subject matter. It’s like chatting with your girlfriends who love Dateline and all its quirks as much as you do.

Love this show. Especially after I’ve already watched the dateline they’re reviewing. Look forward to hearing the comedic take on a serious crime.

Just listened to this episode and I can’t remember when I ever laughed out loud as much as I did when Katie said “if you can’t drag the bag, don’t convict the hag”. So funny! 😂😂😂

As Dateline has taught us, relationships kill. That's why I'm now exclusive with A Date With Dateline, because it's fun to drink wine with and I know Kimberly & Katie won't murder me. I loved it when the murder weapon was a crescent wrench, but Kimberly called it a crescent roll. The Dough Boy did it! 🤣 I love how they love Josh Mankowitz. I'm a Mankette! I love you guys, but y’all say some really ignorant things sometimes. I appreciate that you’re honest in the fact that you may be ignorant to certain things, but it’s also better left unsaid in most cases. It doesn’t come off as funny, but rather judgmental and even hateful.

I must say I was very intrigued, But when you made a comment referring to Christians being able to murder somebody for a pretzel, because they know that they’re forgiven. You could’ve used another word than “Christians” because it sounded a little attacky. Mind you if this is my first podcast from your page. I hope that kind of negativity doesn’t continue throughout.

Soooo good. What is not to love with these talented, unique, deliciously geeky crime gals? You get to hear the best (and usually not the saddest ones with kids, thank goodness) episodes of Dateline through the filter of their fun, sensitive and relatable personalities. If you enjoy recovering theatre nerds relay twisted true crime stories with earthy sass and serious class, you will find your people with this podcast.

I don’t get it, am I the only one who thinks Katie sounds like Tina from Bobs Burgers? With the exact same personality. She is soooo milquetoast and completely unable to read the sarcasm building up in the room. Kimberly is fabulous, she’ll say something so funny and snarky.. and in comes Eeyore with “the facts”. Then after Kimberly is FORCED to agree that Katie is correct (thank you Captain Obvious), Katie says, “yes right” Omg it so misses the mark. I’m sure that Katie is a lovely person, and clearly I’m a nobody so who cares. It’s not a question of character, and I’m sure there’s a place for her personality…just not for me. It’s such a mismatch for Kimberly. Lose the damp blanket Kimberly…you’d be perfect with someone to bounce off.

Tired of fast forwarding through their woke confirmation bias to get to the actual comedy they used to have. I’m sure you’ll have the audience you want and that’s sad.

Katie & Kimberly make me feel eel like I’m with friends who make me laugh & get my love of Dateline.

I am a complete addict, what a fun way to get true crime. But no cussing and completely positive attribution of motives. I love how well Katie and Kimberly know the Dateline hosts, even have communications with them and send positive vibes. True crime can hurt my heart and worry me for a couple of days. But K & K make me laugh, relay the information with lighthearted notes and give even more pleasure to my interests. Great job! More more!! B-roll bonanza, yes please. This podcast is my comfort food and it’s probably embarrassing how many times I’ve listened to each episode, but I don’t care, this podcast is everything!! Do yourself a favor and listen now!! And that’s what I believe!

This show has become a quick favorite of mine. I love the banter and humor and feel like I am hanging out with two friends. I also think this is exactly how I would be doing a podcast with my best friend, down to the chatting and stories that might stray from the recap. You two are wonderful!

Can’t they look at traffic cam footage of when the tow truck is towing away the car to wherever they’re towing it to all along the many highways to figure out the damage that can potentially be seen on the tail light

This is my favorite podcast after Dateline. Kimberly and Katie are terrific hosts. They have a great sense of humor. Both hosts are sensitive to some of the very sad material that Dateline presents. Love the outtakes at the end of the episodes.

Didn’t like their telling of the Dateline on Karen Read. They were very biased and just kept talking about how something wasn’t included or something was incorrect? I mean if it’s on Dateline I assume they have many researchers to fact check things. I thought the dateline was unbiased and they should have been too. Also when they talked about how the victim is being pushed to the side in the case they were like oh that happens all the time and they were not empathetic like they usually are.
