I discovered this podcast when I heard the host Mat talking about why Spotify is shaking in their boots on another podcast. It has become my favorite show ever. I love how smart this podcast is. Both Mat and Holly are so knowledgeable and curious (the two usually go together) and they are as the title suggests, focused on interdependence all their guests harness tech and creative vision to this end. Truly inspiring and empowering. Sometimes hard to keep up but they are basically inviting you into the future with every episode.

... but Joshua Citarella was an absolutely insufferably pretentious guest. JC simultaneously and repeatedly failed to communicate many of his references to the hosts, eluded to understanding perspectives many others cannot and also mispronounced more than a few words. Sigh. Hopefully the next guest will be less self absorbed and interesting.

really like it when holly says "ring ring," but dislike it when the precariat version of the pod is cut off in the middle of a hot take about class war. appreciate your stances re: artists getting paid, influencing AI protocols etc. and think your arguments are in good faith. i also believe the pod would benefit from more marginalized voices and more dual-power-building realism bc we gotta make these interdependent systems work for everyone!

I love this podcast because the hosts have what I consider a unique lens for looking at different aspects of tech and have such a nice variety of guests. I look forward to each release :)
